All players should have a trademark celebration and their own song that get's played when they score... much like then a wrestler or boxer is entering the ring.

If only he were just a little qiucker :(
And taller.
He showed he should have been at afl level a long longer than he was when he finally got his chance.
Not really. He showed why he wasn't picked up earlier. Sublime skills, great footballer, but just physically outmatched at AFL level.

You're not suggesting that he wasn't hard enough for afl? Was he slower than ideal? Sure. But he was a strong little man and tough as nails.

But tell me a better small forward we had before him in 2012?

He wasn't a top liner but he was very important for us. 32 games, 49 goals... But wasn't good enough.

**** off.

Just read on the Port Board (great source for Crows info BTW) that Schoefield ain't coming here. Is this confirmed anywhere?

What's with the abuse? Is that necessary?

No, I'm not suggesting he wasn't hard enough. Not big enough and not fast enough for the role of forward. He got a gig because we were desperate for a small forward and did an okay job, but his stature and lack of pace just made it difficult for him to compete properly at the level, particularly in finals. On pure footballing ability he was a lot better than many who have had longer careers for the AFC.

People like you are the reason he never had a career til 28 or so.

Had he been in the system from 18 or so.. the bloke would have a lot of goals next to his name and would have had time to adjust to the game.

Speed of foot wasn't that necessary for him, he was at the drop of the ball before anyone else and needed only a few minutes to hit a target.

He is unlucky that at the time true footballing ability was overlooked for athletes.

Yep, confirmed he's not coming. Wants to stay in Perth and remain as a head coach at Subi.

Guess is now that Aker takes over as forward coach and Teague moves over as the backline coach.

He's waiting for Kern to get the bullet.

Speculation at the moment. Crow1980 says it's a done deal though, so you're faith in it may depend on how much you believe him.

However the club is in the market for 2 x coaching roles

I'm.assuming an Assistant Coach and a Development coach

If this is the case and if Aker is on our radar it may be for a development role

Callinan was ok but when you look at those stats on goals/games you reeled off i bet you will see a strong correlation with goals vs poor opposition/in big wins in comparison to how he fared against better opposition.

Your right he filled a void for us (and who knows, when younger if he was quicker then he probably would have had great success) but his deficiencies did hold him back.
