Neil Crag esque. Original game plan looked like world beaters, got figured out and suddenly the spankings arrived.

Craig had no second plan. Signs arent good for Pyke having one either.

Atleast Craig got us to prelims.

Bzzt. Wrong. Good litmus test though. We've been putrid for 2 games now after 6 games of untouchable footy. Talk about Jekyll and Hyde!

Agreed, as putrid as we've been these last 2 weeks we're still top of he ladder. The challenge has been laid down to Pyke and his game plan, let's see how he responds. The main issue for mine appears to be mindset and application, as opposed to game plan. Pyke can do what ever he likes in terms of changing things up in the box, but if the players continue to put in pathetic efforts like that it's all for naught. His main fight is now to work out how to motivate the players to actually play like AFL footballers.

Serious question marks for the first time.

Second year at the club as head coach he should be well acquainted with our predilection to take our foot off the gas and admire ourselves in the mirror when things are going well.

Blight saw through that flaw immediately. Our principal flaw as a club. I'm afraid that's the biggest challenge for any coach coming to us.

Let's see how he responds.

There was a comment a Crows Facebook post this morning.
I just tried to find it in my log but can't.
Anyway someone suggesting that one of the Crows assistant coaches dislikes Pyke quite a bit.
I asked who but haven't got an answer.
I don't know if this is personal, footy related or just untrue.

Hopefully it's Campo so he might decide to leave. Would be devastated if it was Teague, he's actually good

if its Campo or Doc Clarke I couldn't give a ****, they should be in the Centrelink line anyway

players make coaches if we had a forward line like Collingwood does people would be calling for Teague to be sacked.

Teague comes across as a smart, switched on coach with good ideas. He implemented noticeable changes in structure compared to Bickley with a lot of the same personnel.

Can't say the same for Campo

Campo and Clarke should be moved on. Like the club, let's pretend they are good at their jobs- regardless, after 7 years, time for new ideas.

Maybe the afl will move them on to Brisbane or Carlton for us.

Think this is more the truth than Pyke bashing. Our midfield has been asked questions and the two coaches are the kings of bruise free football, so they don't have any answers. Time to bring in DJars, Roo, Jars Macca and put a call out to the Love Machine on how to deal with tags and tough football, so they can get advice from those who succeeded against what we are getting handed to us.

Campo doesn't have a contract yet for 2018 and hopefully won't be getting one. Might be causing some angst, hope so. Bulldogs lost their senior assistant just before finals last year, it's not the end of the world.

How do you know he doesn't have one?

Two weeks ago we were lauding the man for having a plan B in matches. Two bad weeks and we're saying that's his weakness?

Seems a bit convenient. Can't blame the coaches all the time. Lots of the blame lies on Walker and Co. Where were they when north kicked 10 goals in a row? When Melbourne kicked 8/9? Or when Sloane was getting tagged out of the game?

Nowhere!

I think a bit of complacency has crept in.

Players believing their hype and playing accordingly.

Structural issues aside, ie issues with the loose man, I hope the last two games has showed the boys you have to take every game 100% and we see a return back to the intensity shown in most of the GWS Port and Hawthorn games.

They were three games we bad to play gritty footy to turn the game our way after we were headed.

Last two games we have lost that ability. And dropped our head after the other team challenges

I would show the players those games and say that is the standard we should adhere to every week.

I actually think Teague has done a terrible job with our forwards.

Our forward line succeeds on raw talent but falls over just as hard as our midfield when there are loses back.

Tex plays behind his man and does the stupid little shove and grab. No-one really leads hard like a key forward should. Jenkins and Tex both refuse to crash packs.

If our forward line was structured up like the forward lines of the top sides we'd be a lot more successful.
