Crustacean was great. Really shows where the rest of the list is at

Wilkie and Webster were good, just needed more help.

Wilson had moments.

Boyd toiled but looked cumbersome and slow at times.

Hall will be a player. Rest of the forward line did probably as much as could be expected of them given the outs and poor delivery.

Windy tried hard but I think his ceiling will be GOP. Same with Hammer.

Nas needs to pull his finger out - can't go for the tough kicks if you can't make the easy ones.

I don't know what to do with Steele, he just has looked a shadow of himself for the last two and a half years.

Hugo needs more time

Arie and Hastie had reasonable matches

Hill was godawful. Can't believe he wasn't subbed.

Overall effort was lacking through the middle of the game, particularly in the midfield outside of Macrae. Disappointing given that we don't have much else to rely on.
Lyon will argue for Hill.
Our players would not deliver it too him

Yeah Trav was generally considered a chance anywhere from 8-15. We clearly value running ability above all else so we picked him over guys who have the edge on skill
Do you understand the variations to the draft order that was required for Travaglia to fall outside the top 8?

I’ll give you the main piece. TAURU had to go at 2 or 5.

Does Hunter Clark only have 1 lung?
In the last 4 seasons(before this one), he barely ever plays more than 75% game time. He's closer to 65% for this time period.

Why do we persist with a guy that can't contribute for 4 quarters?
Haha, abit harsh, he was subbed on at 3 qrt time today. Not his fault he's on the bench, coming off injury over the pre-season. Actually, is often injured, maybe that's it.

Still potting Travaglia. You haven't stopped since Murphy fluked four goals then did nothing either side.
Pretty piss weak to continue to slam a kid who hasn't played a game when there are plenty of others actually on the field stinking it up.

Why are we playing down an incredible debut effort from Reid? Could you imagine how excited this board would be if our first round pick had 13 disposals and 4 goals amongst 7 score involvements on debut interstate?

Every time I see a comment from saintbill, saintron, saintbloke or Saint Ray (all comically similar usernames too), I smile and picture a 50 something year old man, in a wifebeater, with the largest text possible on their phone, using one finger to bash their keyboard, with their seventh Melbourne Bitter can in the other hand?

Surely I'm not the only one?

Keep up the good work, chiefs.

They’re all at least 60+ surely 😂

No one is slamming Travaglia he hasn't played a game it's just an observation based off our recruiting.
It's abundantly clear we need A grade midfield talent as we don't have it.
Lindsay was chosen ahead of Travaglia as a mid for Vic country and was a star.
Both Lindsay and Reid have elite disposal and elite decision making which we desperately need.

Are you okay? Or did you pay no attention to the 6 month long draft thread discussion we had on here which keep highlighting Travaglia as the man after the midfield 7?
No one should be potting Tobes, personally - did I hope for others over TT, yeah. But he's a Saint now so we have to back him.

I will say though you are rewriting history if you say Travaglia was always the man after the 'midfield 7' throughout the 6 month long draft thread. That's certainly not how I recall it anyway.

Universal though apparently🤣

There was no clear choice after 6. Complete revisionist history from stavro#4

My point is with the next batch of players that could have been picked we chose the one that appears to have the skill set we need the least.

The fact Trav can't get a game in a side this weak illustrates the point. He plays the position we have a plethora of options.

Incredible? He had 4 goals drop in his lap and did little for 95% of the game. Hall for us today was better.
But it's not about Reid whom I wanted us to select of you read the draft threads. It's about potting and bagging a kid who hasn't even played a game for us. But I see you are laying the boots to him at all saying he has no skills.
If you watched the champs he was one of the best for country.
Plenty of people bagged bj for 3 or four years as well, but at least they had the courtesy to see him actually play.
Really piss weak to bag Travaglia.

Maybe if you say it again it will become more true.
Were you one of the megaminds that went early on Hobbs v Nas?

I'm not bagging him. I think Trav has a solid career ahead of him and if we were flush with mids but needed a nuggety half back he would be a good choice.

He is not nuggety for a start, and has been playing on a wing.
Hall was better than Reid this round. Do I think he will better in the long run? No. My point it is ridiculous to compare off one game.

Played injured players in Marshall, Camaniti and Sincs.
What was it 5 or 6 players with less than 10 AFL games, multiple debutants all given a baptism of fire.
All of last years spine: Howard, Battle, King & Membrey all out or gone on top of Marshall being a shell of his normal self today.
We desperately need to get games into the kids but keep rotating them through.
Found one in Hall for sure.
When our smalls are all flying for fwd marks it aint gonna go well.

I'll wait until we get a few players back before microwaving the membership card.

Easy game next week against the endless salary cap kents = $C$A$T$S$
