That's not how Kern views these sorts of games, it is a straight validation of Ports premiership hopes

I would much prefer to see the probable forwards play on the probable backs to at least have some form of competition out on the ground

There wasnt a club trial game last year.. was cancelled due to covid and not rescheduled.
