I 'pulled' my quad two seasons ago in about round 8 - I ended up missing the rest of the season and could not run freely even over half a year later. Over a year later and it would still give me grief during games from time to time. It was originally diagnosed as a 4 week injury too.

Having said that - during the course of my rehab for this injury I found out I had a bad back issue which compounded things/set it all off in the first place. Point is though a quad injury could keep you out of action for a fair while.

I understand that some injuries can be bothersome. But Beams is from the richest club in Australia that spends the most cash on sports science/facilities. He is a full time athlete that doesn't have to worry about working a 9-5 job with strained quads. Something is just not right...

Chappy is one that intrigues me. Played the first 4, was named and then a late out in round 5 and hasn't been seen since.

Chris Scott has said he has been at 95% all the time but struggling to get to 100%.

It that were true, he would be a week to week case yet Scott has ruled him out for multiple weeks at a time.

He's old and injury prone so it's likely just the club being overly cautious but it wouldn't surprise me.

I remember hearing Terry Wallace talking about his 'injury' on the day it was announced by Collingwood as 4 weeks or so. Wallace seemed to be alluding to something that would cause it to possibly be season ending but didn't go into detail. It makes sense now.

The main thing about Chappy is that he's 32 this year, has played 200 games, and runs himself ragged every single game. It'd be unusual if he was coming straight back. It's only suspicious under certain circumstances, not every single one.
