If you think of traditional expansions prior to the age of bite sized DLC then it's not too expensive. Maybe a few dollars expensive but in the current climate it's probably par.

Witcher 3 has to be the best value I've ever encountered in gaming.
Played it plus both DLCs when it came out in 2015, probably about 250 hours worth. Then got the free PS5 update last Xmas and did it all again, even more thoroughly than first playthrough and got the platinum. Wasn't sure the DLCs would come across in the upgrade too but yep, worked like a charm and am now almost finished Hearts of Stone and about to start Blood & Wine.
Will have probably put in close to 600 total hours once all is said and done for the price of $69 for the base game plus whatever the DLCs cost in 2016, insane.

Together with the 1.7 patch this is actually looking really good. I think I'm actually going to do an all new playthrough and this time pick something that isn't a hacking build.

This looks good. Can't wait. Happy to pay $45 for it, only paid $29 for the first game since I bought it around Christmas '21 and played that for 50+ hours so I've got my value out of it.

There has been some clarification and I was actually a bit confused myself, but 1.7 is actually the 2.0 patch. Lots of the originally advertised stuff is coming and the perk trees are being completely overhauled. In fact the overhaul is so great that if you decide to reload an old save then your build may not even work anymore as there will also new limits to the cyberware you can have installed.

I've actually never played the base game; decided to wait for the DLC once it was announced, and now it seems as if it's completing the whole experience.

Also in some places there is confusion about what is included in the update vs what is coming with paid Phantom Liberty. So here it is. 2.0 is going to be the closest thing to what was originally promised years ago.

No confirmation but it is believed it will. The update has been apparently added to the Playstation database so it's ready to go.
Agreed. Even though the game has improved, I still find it somewhat unplayable and only lasted 7 hours before uninstalling.

I'm more referring to not being able to play without crashes and/ or freezing on PC. The current version of the game is unplayable for a lot of people.

Not for me and many others. The game always played fine for me until the current version and I found a lot of others in the same boat.

I've been devouring Cyberpunk content for the past week and everything I could find about Phantom Liberty since the Night City Wire that just dropped and I'm actually getting hyped for the story in this one. Idris Elba is a great choice. For everything that was shit about the game when it was first released the main story (IMO anyway) was still excellent. I'm really interested to see how they can top that in this.
With 2.0 and new hardware I'm looking forward to starting a brand new save and replaying the game in its entirety including Phantom Liberty. The last couple playthroughs I used pretty much the same builds too so I look forward to doing something different. Also even though it ran pretty well on PC at launch and my 3080 at the time, I can't wait to play it on a 4080 with all the new optimisations and Nvidia tech that has been packed into it.

Will anyone be jumping back in for the first time since watching Edgerunners? I played for a bit a little while back and can confirm that this is what it's like when you hear the song and start seeing all the references around Night City.

Probably as long as Witcher 3 Blood and Wine.
I’m planning on starting a whole new play through with a different starting story this time around.
