It's not a player or an official. Might be someone close to a player/official with an axe to grind.
What else do you know McDuff? You seem to know a lot about this for a D4 bloke

May well be that they lodged/furnished financials with the VAFA and it disclosed coaching payments to a playing (2nds) coach which exceeded the $1.5k limit for reasonable expense re-imbursement.
That's the most sense I can make of it without any formal release from HQ (which will be coming through next week)

Well Mount Martha to Sunbury / Werribee is a bloody long way. That might be one excuseCan any explain why someone from within the club will be the whistle blower?? doesn't really make sense...
Not far off the mark, not a player but allegedly within the club
just home from work letter in the post from pobfc we are in d2 next season extrodanary agm sat 10am
Confirmed on the Ammos website that they will be in D2 next year. It says the makeup of D1 will be sorted out at the AGM.
Bummer. The bustrip to Peninsula was always a favourite of the Reds.
I wonder why did the VAFA make the announcement about Peninsula now on their biggest weekend of the year-B & A Section Grand Final-and not on Monday after the Grand Finals?
Rumour has it that the Peninsula players have been informed that they will be relegated. Something to do with their coach deciding to play late in the 2006 season but still getting paid as a non playing coach.[/quote
Will most of the Peninsula players hang around in D2, cos you'd think with a full list that they would be flag favourites. Surely a much harsher penalty should be prescribed, starting the season with negative points perhaps?

To be honest, I couldn't care less now to what happens/happened to Peninsula. They cheated the system and this is what happens.
Well done to Mahoney & Florance in the D1 B & F. I didn't see Mahoney play this year, but the couple of games I saw Florance play were pretty impressive. Keem is a gun, but I think Bayles is one of the most overrated players I have ever seen.....
Announcement very soon re NOBS coaching position for next year.
Rumour has it coach Scanlon being pursuaded to fall on his sword after deplorable second half of the year and limp finals efforts.
Recently retired champ favourite to take over.
Unless Brendan "Bobby - the Spiritual Leader" Sheehan has hung up the boots, I presume the favorite to be Scanlon's replacement will be Tonkin?
Luke Boyle??
re: Peninsula. Any truth to the rumour that they were dobbed in by the coachs ex-wife??
Not Boyle but rather someone who might be a bit tired?
Either way, the players have said no more to Mr Scanlon.
my brother plays back pocket for werribee. it was awesome that they won the GF in the seniors, 2's & juniors. now that they hvae finally won a flag, they will build momentum. There has always been a huge amount of talented kids in the area but most never wanted to play at the club because it was in the wrfl. best thing they did was move to the ammos.
I flew done & watched him play a few times & they have a good mix of young players. need some stronger older bodies now they are moving up the ranks. talented young players dont get too many chances at werribee (north melbourne reserves in the VFL) these days unlike when we played back in the day.
