Well Leos had their 1st and only praccy vs Monash Blues yesterday

I guess it a reality check bc they looked every part C Grade and ourselves D2!

Still very happy for the run and looking forward to Round 1

I'll have a crack at Round 1 tips with no form to go on

WERRIBEE to get over Bentleigh - The Bees very slick outfit although Bentleigh should improve this year - 31 Pts

SALESIAN/SM to get over Ivanhoe - 25pts

THERRY at home to knock off Banyule - lets guess 46 pts

ESL to just sneak away with the pts agst Old Westbourne - 20 Pts

GLEN EIRA to defend their home patch and knock off Parade - 36 Pts

How did you go Griff? have heard a rumor OGGS were impressive.
 
Old Geelong bt St Marys/Salesian by about 12 goals. Close till till about half way through 3rd term.

Very impressive OG's, F/Fwd kicked atleast 7 for them.

Very physical game from what i saw, St Marys/Salesian will be up there i would imagine as would OG's in D1.

Yeah they were super impressive in both reserves and seniors. In the ressies we played their u/19's in the first 3 quarters (the old clubbies boys, who we had organised to play in the first 2-3 quarters, were really impressed!!!!) i think we ended up about 3 goals up, they were quick!!! Then their reserves side ran out for the next 3 quarters, fresh as daisys!! We got a bit tired and they played very well, good side, they got us by about 10 goals, sounds bad but we did ok, didnt stop trying.

The seniors went ok, a few players down on the day, they look to be a very good side also, they will be right up there in D1. Matched it with them for the first 3 or so quarters, then they kicked away.

Two pretty good hitouts for us and cant wait for saturday against Ivanhoe, who apparently look pretty good on the weekend.


How did you go harper, you had Fitzroy Reds yes???? We played them last week, we had 2 pretty good wins.
 
Finally that time of the year is here! Its been a long wait but round 1 is only days away.

Had heard their FF was an aging stay at home type so I thought I would enjoy the game from there, until Frase moved him to CHF and brought back a bloke who obviously had 30 energiser batteries inserted where the sun don't shine and proceeded to make me look every bit an unfit 36 year old plonker.

Will I ever learn?

Must admit, im not minding standing on the sidelines!! Especially when we are playing a group of U/19's!!!

For what it's worth - knowing nothing also! Drifter, must have been disapointing on the weekend? Were our boys missing many? How has the pre-season been?

Can any one confirm if Peter Daicos has an official role at Old Paradians. I believe he was very heavily involved in the Prac match on Saturday. Can anyone confirm.

We were missing about 3 on Saturday so not many

Not sure if an 111 pts drubbing is ideal preparation for a trip against the much talked up Old Westbourne!!

No's are strong at Leos though - not many 1's recruits though mate

Away to Monash Blues - they were pretty much at full strength and it definitely showed

I was on the C Grade thread and I dont think the Blues are going to bring up the rear in that comp like everyone predicts

Well, I suppose that's why we are all in D2 at the moment and they are in C grade !!! Good luck for a better result this week.

Drifter, I saw Monash break even against an often hyped B Section team in Caulfield Grammarians last week. A D2 all star defense would still leak against Monash's talls up front. Lambs to the slaughter, good luck this week!
