Dare i say pest, that you can give but you are no good at receiving? Given Peter Hoare's well known predelictions, this is not unsurprising.

Pest actually likes receiving more than giving. Shouldn't Archie be spending his quality time on threads like C & D1?

Anyone got some D2 news to please Archie if he is still reading?

well pest, thought as much, maybe you should let people actually involved in this competition discuss the relevent issues. maybe a club XVIII thread might be a good place to start for you, learn about the game from there and return when you can actually make a meaningfull contribution. until then tool.............

Thanks for the advice gifted, but I would actually like to stay and maybe could learn about the game at a more rapid rate from gifted types like yourself.

Still waiting for your first bit of meaningfull contribution.

can you smell my little gift I sent down earlier?

1. happy to give a meaningfull contribution to a releveant discussion, none of which have come from you obviously.

2. who said i was down that way to smell your gift?? wrong again tool, you will need to learn quicker than that to compete at this level......

Sorry again gifted, you just smelt so I guess I assumed.

Anyway lets try some football gifted.

Who do you think will make the 4?

Pest thinks:

The boys from the beach
Oakleigh
Salesian
Aquinas

I hope this is ok. Just remember, the pest is trying.

Pest I agree with your top four predictions, but the battle for 4th is not over yet with Werribee's draw looking easier than Aquinas. Maybe their game in Round 15 will decide fourth place. Then again Glen Eira may be able to win their remaining games by a point and take fourth spot.

top 3 are good bets i would say. 4th spot is in question. aquinas are stumbling as are werribee, with glen eira are begining to fly home and are still a chance.
as bad as werribee have been, hard to believe they are only one game out of the 4. werribee vs aquinas next week could be a defining game for both clubs.
oakliegh are the team to beat in my view

Glen Eira can fly all they like. Percentage will let them down.

Relegation thoughts?

Some big games late in the year with all in contention to play each other.

P.S. Hope Pest is proving his worth

Thanks gifted, why didn't you just cut and paste what I said

apologies fidel, but i would have been typing my thoughts as you posted, so no, i did not see them prior to writing mine. good to see we are on the same page.

pest, as for relegation, ivanhow and st. johns for mine..

Williamstown play both Latrobe and Ivanhoe at home which should be enough to get them through, while St johns play the top 3 over the next 3 weeks, St Johns and Ivanhoe look to be in trouble.

What about La Trobe, when we beat them at home last round we will be even on wins. So it comes down to the 4 games between now and then I would have thought? I think the Hoes can knock of Werribee at home also?

valid points coach, hope you guys are up to the challenge, will be good for you to prove us wrong. only time will tell. you gotta love the backs to the wall dog fights..

Sounds good coach hopefully you can get a win in before then, you both have similar runs home, I don't see either team getting a win before round 18, then you have to beat them and make up percentage. I wish you luck though coach. Relegation will be a three way battle between the Hoes, Latrobe and St Johns.

Tips for Round 14 guys?
Mine are:
Hoes to knock Oakleigh at home.
Aquinas to end Glen Eira's finals hopes.
Werribee just over La trobe but could go either way.
Salesian to win at home over St Johns.
Peninsula over Willy but a big chance for an upset in this game.

Hello guys, just new to the thread and thought as a D2 follower I would jump on and talk some crap with you late in the year (less crap than Peter Hoare is writing). I tend to agree with Fidel and Gifted that Hoes (should have gone down last year) and St.Johns will go down. Oakleigh to win the GF with Werribee an outside chance (Peninsula to choke again!!).

oakleigh by 3-4 goals over the hoes.
Aquinas just over Glen Eira.
Werribee over latrobe by a couple.
Salesian by 6 goals at home.
Peninsula over Willy, however, willy can knock of most teams on any given day if things fall there way, wheels will have to have a big one, tails up foward has been handy. cheers lads. :thumbsu:

Good start with talking the crap Back With, why should have the hoes gone down last year?

Poo Collectors for a outside chance to win the flag? You have to be kidding, they really are in the sh%t and their season will end in 5 weeks.

i just heard that the Hoes had to pull something out of their a$$ last round last year and will have to do that again this year. you sound like you have a soft spot for the hoes......a 2's player perhaps there Peter??

You wouldn't want to be bagging Werribee if you are Peter, after the performace of round 7.

Pest was just wondering how Ivanhoe was lucky when clearly 2 sides finished below them. Pest thought that was a stupid statement, obviiously you didn't.

As for not wanting to be bagging Werribee, Pest was just stating the facts.

You sound like your from Werribee, Can you confirm the subs rumour?

Interesting comment you make there BWTF? You must be from Werribee to make a comment like that? What happened in Round 7? As I can recall Werribee won by 6 goals, but the game was close up untill the last 10 minutes were you run away with it, due to fitness. I think on the muddy Ivanhoe park ground in 2 weeks time things will be very different and the leg speed of some of those kids at werribee won't be an issue. You heard it here first the Hoes will beat the sh*t farmers in Round 16.;)

Looks like I have made the Ivanhoe boys a little angry with a couple of my comments. It would probably be a better game if Werribee play the other Ivanhoe team down the road!

Pests tips for this week:

Aquinas to smash Geln Eira at home who still aren't totally out of relegation trouble.

Wlli to upset Peninsula, also at home

Oakleigh to travel to Ivanhoe and continue their poor year

Latrobe to be to good for the poo collectors on the wide open spaces of uni's ground.

and finally Salesians to send the bogans back down the freeway with their Jim Beam cans.

Maybe back with the flight could give us some insight to his thoughts

Pest doesn't get angry, pest doesn't get even either as pest can't play.

Pest just pesters.

Going by the fact you have just joined up to the website to have a go at the pest the pest believes you have just joined the group of people to be pestered by the pest.

Don't worry your in good company

Mr Flights tips

Aquinas to tough for Glen Eira
Peninsula too good for Wheeler & co
Oakleigh in a training run (please dont get the ground to muddy for us Please!)
Poo Collectors in a tight one
Salesians also too good for St.Johns

Good luck to all, even the Hoes...they need it.
