at this stage wouldn't want to.

Very coy on this one

Not knowing how the tribunal works in the VAFA too much - if the umps didnt see an incident that is raised as provocation or mentioned in a players defence - does it simply become a tribunal judgement call.

With no video it would be hard work Im guessing

What about the Chris Sharp incident? Anyone from Bentleigh want to tell us what the gun goal kicker is up for?

SMD player came through late with a elbow up after Braber had kicked it. Umpire must have seen it to report him straight away. Braber isnt on report. Really good game at Aquinas on the weekend. Great 4 quarter effort. Emmaus boys sent a bit of a message to everyone in the comp. Under rate them like werribee did at your peril! What ever happened to Werribee not losing a game for the rest of the year?

well done to the leos, it was pretty much a game of two halves they wanted to play in the first half and we didnt. the second half was the opposite with the werribee boys coming out and playig some good footy, you are never going to win a game when you give the opposition a ten goal head start, when the going got tough the leos boys dropped there big ruckman #20 back in hole and it worked a treat but in saying that it was a 7 goal to 2 second half. dont writs us will bounce back strongly this having played glen eira 2 weeks ago. go tigers

Agree with everything you said, javo, it was a game of two halves. Sounds like good coaching to me, to drop another player back when Werribee had a run on.

Why do you say that?
We've had a lot of close games, most of which probably should've fallen our way but didn't.i.e Aquinas by 2 points, Salesian by 2 goals today (were up in the last quarter)...and we were also up in the last quarter against SMD.

We've shown we can match it with the top sides....and have just been unluckly not to get the wins in the end...
Just shows how even the comp is this year...

Didnt aquinas kick inaccurately and werent salesian missing key players and leading all day?

Second week in a row that a South player has been droped behind play. What do you guys think about these cowards that are throwing punches behind play, and sneak going blokes.....

Speacial hello to :

Fish - no. 20 Bentleigh
... - no. 13 Aqualias

......Dogs

I hate behind the play incidents - it is pathetic

However I have not seen any incidents in question above obviously being at the Emmaus games

The game with Werribee was played in good spirits as have most of our games been

I hope the tribunal can sort it out for the players involved

No. 38 from South...
It's just that his hardest punch has minimal effect on anyone, so no one notices that he's done anything...

ha ha ha...no 38 from Districts I found very funny all day on Saturday? Was he the self appointed hit man just without the 'hit' in him? And the lad who was sent off??? Harper, did he say what he was tryng to achieve after the game?

BTW: Your 2's should still hold their heads high...sitting in 3rd is still quite reasonable and with Tomarts: have rarely seen a better set of hands play reserve grade for a while, when it was kicked to him!

I saw the whole thing at AQ v SMD.

Number 13 for AQ hit the SMD player in the side of the head off the ball. He then got a kick and the SMD was silly enough to do his pay back there and then - striking the Aquinas bloke. He should plead guilty for being so stupid but in this case was the reactor, not the instigator.

Don't forget that Aquinas had more than their fair share of debutantes this week also. Week where 1s players were unavailable and a lot of changes to the side if you look at both team lists from previous weeks. The 2 guys who made their Senior debut for the year were effectively our best players. The depth is great and people getting their chance to play 1s are grabbing with both hands.

SMDs discipline didn't help too much, many sloppy free kicks being given away. Don't know if there was too much in the incident, happened right in front of me, definetely should have been sent off, but dunno about any weeks being handed out.

The SMD bloke was "tagging" Braber. Doing all the stuff that annoys good players, pinching little punches in the back, nothing serious just annoying, Braber pushed off him in the chest, SMD guy fell over, Braber got the ball, kicked it and got collected a little bit late. Not too much in it to be honest. Braber gets tagged most weeks and cops a fair bit and it is a credit to him that he hasnt fired up a few times this year when dealt with unfairly on the bottom of packs and that sort of thing. Depending on how the ump saw it will determine if and how large a penalty. Braber got straight up after getting knocked over. If Sharp did get done for swearing he will prob get suspended. I did a couple of years ago. They dont like it at all in the Ammo's!!! I think there is a no tolerance policy.

Very interesting round this one with everyone only playing against each other a couple of weeks ago. Who has learnt from last time? Seeing as though we are at the half way point of the year. Who will be the best player this year from each club?

Paul Cheevers has been our best by a fair way. Has not played a bad game. Martin Costello next best.

Cheevers certainly smashed us, as did Leigh Toomey from Aquinas and Morcello out at Salesian.

Im just clarifying with the coach that I can answer this one on our behalf .....however we have had alot of regular contributors rather than 1 standout to this point.

Disappointing to hear all that, saints. On a positive note, let me say that the Willy v. Salesians match last Saturday was played in an excellent spirit, and the umpiring whilst not perfect, at least had no bearing on the outcome.

Where is Gasometer??

Willy have won 2 in a row and going quite well.

Anyone know if David Lee is back from his hand injury??
