Dee Three
Senior List
Just to update the other movements around the Division...and take the focus off the to55ers from Bentleigh who have hijacked this thread...
Coaching
Grace has been reappointed as Coach of Elsternwick.
Hawthorn Hacks have (finally) sacked their long time Senior Coach Peter Tyson and appointed Mark Murray as their new Senior Coach for 2009.
With Tyson now gone, how will this affect beer sales at the club?
Power House have re-appointed Darren Cooper as their Senior Coach for 2009.
Recruiting
Hawthorn have been speaking to a foirmer AFL listed player to assist across their half forward line.
Monash have been speaking to Anil Kumble to see if he is interested oin pulling on the boots for the Gryphons after his recent retirement from Test Cricket. This recruiting target is designed to increase the Indain student interest at the Gryphons and is an attempt to pull some players across from the Gryphons cricket team.
West Brunswick are relying on their successful 2008 D4 team to carry them through D3 this season and have not been heavily recruiting yet. They are still celebrating their season with a massive Cup Day function in the Public Section of Flemington Races yesterday. Some players seen leaving the city watchhouse this morning looking a little worse for wear.
Power House have promised a few big names will come to the club in 2009. Watch this space. Big promises?
Elsternwick are hoping that the new Assistant Coach will pull some of his very tall high level basketball mates to come across and have a kick. Tall talented and professional. They probably wouldn't fit in at Elsternwick.
