Just to update the other movements around the Division...and take the focus off the to55ers from Bentleigh who have hijacked this thread...

Coaching

Grace has been reappointed as Coach of Elsternwick.

Hawthorn Hacks have (finally) sacked their long time Senior Coach Peter Tyson and appointed Mark Murray as their new Senior Coach for 2009.

With Tyson now gone, how will this affect beer sales at the club?

Power House have re-appointed Darren Cooper as their Senior Coach for 2009.

Recruiting

Hawthorn have been speaking to a foirmer AFL listed player to assist across their half forward line.

Monash have been speaking to Anil Kumble to see if he is interested oin pulling on the boots for the Gryphons after his recent retirement from Test Cricket. This recruiting target is designed to increase the Indain student interest at the Gryphons and is an attempt to pull some players across from the Gryphons cricket team.

West Brunswick are relying on their successful 2008 D4 team to carry them through D3 this season and have not been heavily recruiting yet. They are still celebrating their season with a massive Cup Day function in the Public Section of Flemington Races yesterday. Some players seen leaving the city watchhouse this morning looking a little worse for wear.

Power House have promised a few big names will come to the club in 2009. Watch this space. Big promises?

Elsternwick are hoping that the new Assistant Coach will pull some of his very tall high level basketball mates to come across and have a kick. Tall talented and professional. They probably wouldn't fit in at Elsternwick.

Get over it mate.... It was just a little banter back and forth... Moving on...

In the off-season round up at Bentleigh, there are two new coaches, and an ex-Bentleigh player coming back from Phillip Island, along with a couple of their mates.

To go with that, there are speculations about 4 ex-AFL players heading down to the club... A friend of all 4 of them has been a long time member of the club, and has got in their ear about coming down. Would be huge if it happens.

WhiteNikes, you may wish to quickly change your above ladder, swap Eltham with Hawthorn and Kew with SFX and then work out the order! ;)

News from down Hawthorn way is that the loud mouth pie eating Jackomos has been told he is no longer welcome at the club...... Must be good news for the rest of the comp

Ahh... in that case i heard it about Hawthorn. Scumbags

what a load of sh*t.....
be careful pal, this sort of rubbish tends to bite your club on the ass during the year....
stick to what you know best - bagging your own team mates, club officials, ex-coaches, ex-girlfriends, the canteen lady or anyone else you can lay blame on for you demise....
Hang on a minute, I forgot that all this will all be forgotten once you guys recruit half of the Phillip Island team and your 4 ex-AFL players....

Lighten up 'PAL'. If you can't tell thats a joke you have major problems.
And aren't you up on your high horse today. Having a go at sniper, who actually is a tough guy on the field. Also, from previous experience, D3 Reserves is all about washups trying to throw their weight around. No skill involved at all. Hell, even i was able to get a kick last time we were in this division.

So what club are you from, hero? Will we see under the packs are hiding behind your ruckmen waiting to throw a cheap shot, or better yet standing on the other side of the fence hurling weak abuse at the opposition?

Must say, those premiership posters that the VAFA have produced look pretty good.
Plenty of inspiration there fellas. Wouldn't mind one of them come season's end.. ;)
Have they done those in the past or are they a very new thing??

If the above is accurate, a massive pat on the back must go out to the HAFC President and Com. for finally getting rid of the Hawks number one liability in Jacko.

It sounds like things are on the up for the Hawks. No Jacko and a new highly credentialed Senior Coach for 2009. A guy with what is to be believed a wealth of successful high grade VAFA playing, B&F's (inc A Grade and Hawks in 2008) and coaching will only bring a fresh vibe that hasnt been seen in a decade down at Rathmines.

Wouldn't expect nothing less than a comment like this from a West Brunswick player.
