The KO of Nigel was an unfortunate accident, no malice or forethought went into it.

My nomination for Full Forward is Justin Roberts. Very smart, knows how to find the footy and as dirty as hell! He is the only guy I've had trouble with this season.

Dave Viola has to be the full forward of the year with 60 goals so far this year.

Gee you love talking yourself up dont you! If you were that good how come you havent won more games for your club and got them into finals contention?

Well actually I didn't see the incident... but it certainly got our bench fired up! From all reports its was Dean Solomon-esque ;)

Why nominate him if you aren't saying he should be in the team?

You just couldn't let an opportunity to blow your own trumpet pass.

Like the great Tony's hairdo said earlier - it's amazing that you haven't gotten BHN into finals based on your own awesome performances.

From what I can read on the VAFA website BHN has had one of their opponents kick 3 goals or more in every game this year. Most games against opposition other than the bottom two BHN have had a player kick 4 or more in almost every game.

Is allowing your opponent to score 3 or 4 not considered trouble RM? Or are you implying that your fellow defenders don't match your high standards? Who played on Sudholz put 5 past your boys?

Roberts kicked 6 against your mob. Maybe this is your definition of trouble?

On a side note I think OC37 would be a fool to base his team of the year on the criteria of who did well against BHN.
9 players have scored more than Roberts. One of them (McDermot has played 4 fewer games). Roberts High Score is 6 (against RMs mob). Horne and Whiting have both had bags of 10. McDermot and Sudholz have had bags of 9. McDermotts 9 were against the tightest defense in the league.

Nothing against Roberts. He's obviously a good forward but he wouldn't be my idea of a walk up start to Full Forward of the year just cause he beat RM on the day. Probably a spot for him in the forward 6 though.

IMHO:
FF: Whiting Viola McDermott
HF: Horne Sudholz ?

Maybe Fradkin or Roberts in that 6th spot. Neither really HF flankers but that's always the question when picking these sides isn't it?:eek:

I'll put some thoughts into the rest but interesting to hear Kew speak so highly of AP's midfielders. Should set up a massive clash this weekend at McAlister.

I won't tip yet. As Mark Harvey pointed out I've got no clue :D

4 or more is my definition of 'trouble'.
 
To RM's credit he shut down Whiting the first two times he played on him... He bagged 6 this past weekend, but I think RM was being used more around the ground that day as BHN seemed to be short of height up the field. I don't know if he played on Whiting at all actually.

Played on Whiting in the first half (he got 1 goal). Then went up the ground got injured and Whiting proceeded to kick another 5.
