We are only looking at Richmond at the moment. They were very impressive last week so we need to be right on our game or we will get jumped like last week. Nuske and Whiting have kicked a lot of goals this year so are capable of kicking large scores when they are on song.

Fair enough. Richmond have had some impressive results. More experienced players like the Big Horn may find it hard to adjust to such a competitive Snakes lineup after many years of thrashing them... Still, I can't see them getting within 8 goals of Kew.

Horne has never played the snakes. To my knowledge the clubs have met twice in 10 years with one of those games being called off due to the condition of the ground.

NB v ML ... ML by 10 goals
BHN v BC ... BHN by 1 goal
WB v SM .... WB by 34 goals
AP v EP ... AP by 4 goals
SFX v STH ... SFX by 12 goals
Kew v RC ... Kew by 5 goals

To be fair, it *was* 15 minutes real-time last year, but has been changed to 12 minutes + time-on this year. Allegedly when some superstars were sent off, balls were being deliberately kicked out of the park, injuries feigned etc etc to soak up the 15 minutes.*

* May or may not be true

What would happen in the magoos as theres no time on?

Good thing you're not a timekeeper, young smoker.

x20x 17 minutes plus time on, except if the third quarter starts after 1pm - if so, then no time on, and the quarter length is adjusted so that the game finishes at 1:50.

i did the time keeping the other day and i had no idea about this! lucky the other guy knew what was what..

What happened in the top-of-the-table (almost) clash between St Francis and West Brunswick? Few fireworks??

absoloute crap all that was said was a a supporter from the side lines was getting just as frustrated as we were with some very dodgy decisions to say the least and said to the ump where are u from. jesse replied from WB the ump then gave him a yellow card and said see u tuesday jesse replied dont think so so he upgraded to a black. did not deserve 3 weeks

there are also a lot of "i did not do it" blokes inside as well. If it was only a supporter who mouthed off then he should have been part of the defence. I rest my case.

When will you blokes get it....

The umps are human, and like all humans if they are treated well they will respond in kind. If your smart enough, accept the first few decisions regardless of the situation, and even make a joke or two. That way the umps will think your a great bloke and 50/50 decisions will go your way. On the other hand, dont expect any favors if you treat them like crap.......
It even happens in AFL. Guys like Hird, Buckley used to get the 50/50's all the time because they where fair players and didn't make life hard for the umps.

At the end of the day, crap in will always = crap out!

lakey you are dead right. Forget about umps for the minute and just think of your own work situation. If some customer abuses you over the phone or face to face/tells you what to do, argues, etc, then you would treat them differently to a nice customer wouldn't you. the same thing happens on a football/sporting ground. It is human nature. treat another human like an idiot and he will treat you accordingly. It is not rocket science. It is that old saying of treating others as you would like to be treated. And I defy anyone to say that in there life they have not treated someone in a certain way (good/bad) in response to the way they have been treated.

sorry I am sounding like confucius

Poor SFX. Picked on by the nasty umpires when they had done nothing. Clearly the the tribumal were giving out weeks for nothing at all.:p

5 weeks total from the one game?
Surely someone down in Beaconsfield has to take some responsibility!

Hopefully Syndal Tally Ho don't get the same treatment. Or is this (as Iceman suggests) just a reaction from SFX to being beaten?;)

Why didn't Jess just shut his mouth? zero tolerance is pretty simple - shut the ____ up and get on with it. You can't argue with the umps - they will always win.

Where is "The Taskmaster" and "Roostertalk"? have they been banned from posting?

Hmmmm, the way of Sam newman? (In house Ban???)

If so, lets bag the crap out of em'..........kidding!

So, can anyone give me some info on Kew, 1's and 2's.....who do we need to stop to win???

BigWaz' Whopping Great Tips:

NB v ML ... Losing Rhodes will hurt the dales, they use him an awful lot. That said, they should probably hang on for the win... by 5 goals.
BHN v BC ... BHN in a must win situation, bulleen with nothing to lose, should be another close match if bulleen can put 4 quarters together...that said, BHN by 5 goals.
WB v SM .... South Mornington have a lot to prove, everyone has written them off for the year, but they wont win this one... WB by 20 goals.
AP v EP ... Here's hoping that EP can upset AP as they did earlier in the year... Would be a big win for the centrals as well! EP by 2 goals.
SFX v STH ... SFX are missing a few players to suspension, and STH are DESPERATE for a win.. but they aren't strong enough a the moment. SFX by 10 goals.
Kew v RC ... Richmond has found a bit of form since quarter time against lilydale, and will be giving it a crack. Someone told me these teams haven't met since 2004, when the second game of the year was cancelled due to poor playing surface. Kew are the big favourites, but RC rate themselves a chance at an upset. RC by 1 point.

NB v ML - Mount by many goals. between 8 and 9.
BHN v BC - Bulleen by 13 points - but only because of the umpires.
WB v SM - The world includes South Mornington. 114 points.
AP v EP - I'm still a fan of the Sharks, but the other Park will be too strong across the ground. 32 points.
SFX v STH - SFX will break their losing streak and run over the Tallies in the second half. 81 points.
Kew v RC - Waz, optimism is a positive thing - keep up the good work. Kew by 133 points.
