Not surprising if you have that fat cheat umpiring your 2s every week that umpired against us.

It's a shame when everything else that RC is doing presents their club in such a great way, that their reserves umpiring was so disappointing on the day.

We missed our only chance for the year of being umpired by Waz - and his umpiring has been talked up on here!!!

Seriously Waz - he might be 2nd pick - but he was awful....

Im not suggesting that the players selected havent been playing good football but in my humblest of opinions when two teams are dominating in the nature of Kew and WB then i feel that 7 out of 22 is not a great reflection on that dominance.

What a load... 1/6 of the teams account for 1/3 of the players... I'd say that was fair. Just because WB and Kew are good doesn't mean all of their players are superstars...

Actually, Brian is from Albert Park originally. He has helped us out the past few years.

Not sure where to go here....

Diesel is a lovely bloke, a genuinely good guy; but as an umpire he caused angst through his ability to pay 'home team decisions' & disregard clear free kicks to the opposition.

'Brian' is just a very ordinary umpire.

RM's League Team
After Playing all teams once here is my league team ...

FF: D. Penny (BHN) - D. Viola (EP) - S. Dishon (WB)
CHF: N. Nuske (RC) - J. Sudholz (WB) - C. Horne (Kew)
C: B. Cookson (BC) - S. Bennett (AP) - G. Pearson (SFX)
CHB: M. Viola (EP) - S. Pietsch (WB) - C. Gibson (MtL)
FB: G. Ortlip (Kew) - C. Liston (BHN) - B. Pryor (SFX)

Ruck: G. Bell (Kew)
Rovers: M. Rhodes (MtL), B. Irving (WB)

Bench: D. Pizzari (NB), R. Sissons (SM), F. George (StH), B. Spencer (SFX)

Coach: N. Dallas (AP)

Your Ruck/RR/Rover combo must average about 6'2". No room for some of the littler guys?
Kew has done well to have only one loss despite only 3 players making your 'league team.'
Peoples gets nothing for leading his team to the peak?
Was there a policy that every team had to have a rep?

Good work though.

I reckon thats pretty harsh on Brian, he usually is pretty good, but will make up for others in-discresions

The time has come.
I've collecetd all the inside words and my stool pigeons have returned to roost. This is the lock:

Brunswick North will keep their false hopes alive another week at least. 5 Goal win.
South Mornington in another close one against STH. 2 goal win.
RC to close the gap through home ground advantage and desperation, SFX by 2 goals
MtLily comfortably at home. 9 goals.
AP to take revenge (sweet revenge) on the Cobras. 6 Goals.
WB to surrender their cherry to the boys from Kew. Horne's late goal will secure the chocolates and spice up the finals series...

Craig Horne from Kew doesent know where the back line is!!!

Look again.
For some reason known only to himself RuckMachine has decided to ignore a century-and-a-half of tradition and put the Forwards at the top of the team and the backs at the bottom.
Penny, Viola, Sudholz, Dishon and Nuske wouldn't be in the back 6 either!

Richard is an under achiever from Ivanhoe Amateurs. Craig Horne from Kew doesent know where the back line is!!!

if you have kicked 45 goals for the season you probably dont need to go to the backline to often. Explain the under achiever part. Surely if the guy has them at 11 zip he cant be that bad even if he has a good side

He's probably a croweater - just like hard water, mullets and facial hair, reading out the forwards first has been a long standing tradition in SA.

Forward line was easier to put together so I did it first ...

How Is Dick an under achiever???????

Is this the same Craig Horne that Dennis Grace approched before last year clash between Elsternwick and Kew asking him what his intentions were for 08?

Get your hand off it Iceman, Saker is one of the best players in D4, super fast and silky skills. Has even had a drink named after him at the club so i hear.

The Iceman hears from a source close to saker that the drink affectionly known as a STAKER is made up of one can of jim beam one red udl and one orange udl poured into the jug at one time
the iceman enjoys it served with ice
