i thought they were. easily could have been up by 25 goals at 3/4 time, then, well - we all know what terry wallace admitted to.

Manningham had recruited 9,654 new players this season (give or take 1 or 2) and everyone had them as early favourites or at least the big improvers, were PC that good, or did Manny have many out??
NB took care of Uni High I hear...who was or wasn't at full strength, good win by NB regardless.

How did Chadstone go against powerhouse Sandown!! and RC down at the Island??

I heard that Chadstone won the game by 4 goals and have a few handy defenders running around creating alot of drive the team has lacked.
I heard Nth.Brunswick Won by around 4 goals and have picked up some tall timber with ability forward and back.
I heard Point Cook have atleast 15 players capable of holding down key position roles and a rotation system through the middle that will be the envy of all D4 clubs.
I heard nothing about the Richmond Central match-yet!

The Mt.Lilydale match was called off basically last minute after the council decided that 4 matches on the ground over 2 days was too much. Bloody dislike this time of year for ground availability and I bloody really dislike councils and thier rules! Now looking forward to the match against Eely Park next weekend even more so.

TOLD YOU SO. He's a a decent coach but a sly old fox.:D

Don't go to the engravers to get the name put on the cup quite yet.

I wasn't there, but I do know that Manningham weren't at full strength & won't be daunted by playing PC again.

They will be a good team, but from what I've heard they are not West Brunswick of 2008.

Richmond played out a pretty tight contest with Belgrave in both seniors and reserves. Was a good hitout. Though the players all looked pretty rusty.

Belgrave pulled away in the last qtr.

Waz, if you know him, how did Daryn Leaumont go for Belgrave (ex Mt Lilydale forward/ruckman).

I thought Manninghams standard of footy was pretty good and their midfield beat ours in centre clearances. Our forwards and Defence was a little stronger until the last quarter when Manninghams CHF really stood up and fed their smalls. Should be a good hit out against the Cobras in the Season proper now we have had a look at eachother.
Played in good spirits apart from one incident over the whole day.

We were happy to play a game together for the first time and the feeling of support for eachother was all good after the game, very positive, will be a great footy club to be around.

One of the Manningham boys got reported for striking a player after he got rid of the ball , an elbow but i was not in a position to see it but it was right in front of our bench and got a pretty big reaction. Our young bloke had to come off the ground.
Umpires were pretty good , controlled the situation with no trouble and sent him off.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to know if anyone knows of any teams that are struggling for numbers in the Two’s. I am not much of a Footballer just keen for a bit of a kick somewhere.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Rooi - don't know where you are located, but always more welcome at the Manningham Cobras. Numbers are good, but it's a good environment & in D4 ressies you don't have to be that good to get a kick anyway. (I'm certainly not much good & manage to get a touch!)

Thanks mate. I live in Moonee Ponds but anywhere in Melbourne Metro is fine. I have always played EDFL but wanted to give VAFA a go. I am pretty ordinary thought, is the D4 comp pretty easy??

Mate - you will enjoy the VAFA - it's a good comp & the social side goes OK as well...

There are a few of our boys that travel over from Essendon way..
