As long as lukosious missing from our ins is an oversight, I would do it. Which means that one of the other clubs will feel like they are getting a raw deal.
 
I made the mistake of reading the Blues trading thread.
They seem to think Houston is worth no more than a late 1st.
We would be lucky to straight swap Lukosius and Houston picks apparently

I think these big trades that rarely happens confuses things.

Lets just look at us and separate the parts.

Future 1st for Lukosius - this should be the worst deal that we get.
Pick 2 for Houston - is fine if you have a further deal that gets our 2 x first round picks
That leaves Soldo and future 2nd for Pick 22.
That might value Soldo at a pick upgrade of 10ish which would be decent

Looking at the rest Gold Coast appear to want to overpay for Rioli so Pick 6 being used is an issue
St Kilda probably don't want to pay that much for Soldo

Anyway not that far off really.

I don’t think we are allowed to trade both a future first and second without replacing one of them.
 
Luko could not even make GC side in the end, and we pick up his big salary. Do that deal separately with Carlton, and make them match what Melbourne would offer. I’m sick of Dan now. It’s only money he wants.

This year feels like there isnt much difference between pick 2 and pick ~8. The top end is fairly equal it seems

Your individual valuations are not far off mine

IF we get pick 2 for Houston then split it for 2 firsts
Regarding Soldo deal, I think it should be Soldo + F3 for 22. And then give this 22 to Suns for Luko. They dont want him + we are taking on that whole contract. The 10ish pick upgrade we get for Soldo is way unders when you consider also what we paid for him.

Yeah, 2 is way way overs, so I was trying to find a way you get us that high and make it work. We'd need to give up Houston and a future first to get to #2.

I was thinking Lukosius is more worth an early 2nd rounder. We're relieving GC of salary pressure, not just trading. So I don't think he's going to cost as much as a 1st. He just shouldn't.

In my opinion we should stick to what we've said. We need 2 first round pick and I would assume they aren't wanting Pick 17 & 18. One has to be closer to pick 10.

If they can't get the picks Houston stays with us.

Its not overs for a recent dual AA with 4 years left on his deal. I am happy to swap our future 2nd for their future 3rd if they really want to but otherwise, you just have to see what Richmond are getting for Rioli and base it off that. I dont want anyone here to say "Yeah its Suns they overpay" because thats nonsense. The market will only pay what it values a player at. Rioli and Richmond are in a completely different situation to us and Houston. Rioli wants to leave and Richmond are more than happy to let him go because they are getting quality picks. Houston wants to leave too but we are in contention (without Ken) and he's a top 5 player per Champion Data this year and we don't really want to let him go unless we get overpaid.

For pick #2 I'd be willing to forget 2x later firsts.

Pair JHF and Butters with another elite mid and push Rozee to a high half forward would be a dream.

Richmond aren't getting 6 for Rioli. They would only get it with a shit load of 2025 points/picks. GC don't need 6, so they'll be happy to trade, but they won't be doing it for Rioli, they'd be getting there monies worth in additional value.

North don't have a reason to cough up 2. 2 is of huge value. Way, way more than Houston is worth.

Talks are about 6 and 20 haha what do you mean they aren't getting 6. The only thing that might go the other way is a future 3rd.
