The fact that these are the best deals we could drum up tells me that other clubs know were soft at the trade table. Any sane list manager would’ve held Dan to his contract.

Um yes, he was contractually obliged to come back to Port Adelaide if the deal wasn't done so of course he had to pretend that he was happy to continue at Port if a trade couldn't be done.

Let's just say that when that was getting a little closer to being reality he certainly let people know that he very much wasn't happy to return to Port Adelaide.

Wanted to escape a cult run by losers. Hard to blame him honestly. Imagine showin up every day knowing your career is going nowhere under the worst coach in VFL/AFL history and nobody cares.
