These tribunals are such a waste of time which is so evident with these types of questions. Stop wasting time and back the system to apply the correct punishment from the start.

Having a lawyer argue over this rubbish is pathetic and always has been. Give him the 4 weeks and be done before it even started.

Because you're calling everyone else out for being hysterical - most are just chatting about the case here.
Why assume you're the only calm logical one.

Anyways, to further the conversation any calls above 3 weeks are too much.
The hit was late. But not that late. It's the small factors like that which should matter.

Or get low when you bump. When you're in the air you're asking for trouble, doesn't help the intent part.

Not to sure about that.

Look at the Gaff punch. He copped 8 weeks not just for the action but the level of injury caused.

IMO 2 or 3 of those weeks would have been due to the injury sustained being severe.

5-6 weeks for the act 2-3 weeks for severity of the injury sustained.

I love the defence here of he chose to bump instead of tackle. Like accidental head clashes don't ever happen in tackles. 1.5 metre covid rule needs to be bought in. No one go near anyone. That way no accidental head clashes will occur.

A QUESTION OF RELEVANCE
Ross Howie has questioned whether the issue of Dangerfield's technique is relevant, given he has pleaded guilty to careless conduct. The only issue up for debate, it seems, is the question of impact, which Dangerfield has challenged and is seeking to downgrade from severe to high.

HEY SIRI....

Dangerfield's lawyer has asked Siri to define severe. The definition he shares with the jury is: "very great or intense".

Does this apply, he asks, to the impact Dangerfield made to Kelly "at head level, not body level".

Absolute farce this is. An accidental head clash getting multiple weeks. Got as good a chance of an accidental head clash when tackling, marking, bumping, both players going to pick the ball up off the ground at same time. Ban it all. It was the classic hip and shoulder. Shoulder to shoulder. Perfectly executed. Players now need crystal balls.

Wow really??

The bump is legal, so is the tackle, so are marking contests. So why is only one being penalised for accidental head clashes when it can happen from any of them ?

If you decide to go for a mark in a marking contest and cause an accidental head clash, I hope it also results in the same outcome. Multiple weeks.

Your just being obtuse now. If you can’t tell the difference between headclashes when playing the ball and head clashed when playing the man I don’t think this games for you

Same

The leaving the ground to bump is to maximize impact

It's meant to be a defensive action to protect your own space around the ball for a pick-up or protect your team-mate, not to clear a guy out. The leaving the ground thing truly is just to maximise impact on your opponent
Is this guy Lionel Hutz???

Bumping Technique
Stay low. No hitting opponents head.

Oh no they got this all wrong

Bumping Technique
Stay low? No, hitting opponents head

Said it before. If we want to take accidental head clashes out of the game, let's have all players remain 1.5 metres apart covid style at all times. Give them a feather duster and if they tickle the opponent hard enough with the ball, that can count as the tackle.

Where did he bump him in the head ? Looks shoulder to shoulder to me ? Unless I'm wrong. So when you tackle a player and it results in an accidental head clash, I hope the same outcome applies. Multiple week suspension.

If you go off the ground when you could have tackled normally or done a smother it’s your responsibility to not take the bloke out! I bet you aren’t saying the same thing if it was McCluggage with a smashed nose
