More like he knew to quit while he was ahead. Entirely predictable Disaster would quit before the house of cards he had built came crushing down. It allowed his acolytes to frame it as being 'undefeated' but the reality is he held off quitting until the moment he knew that he ran the risk of being Premier when the chickens were finally coming home to roost and tarnish how his time in office is framed in future.

Like to know why James Merlino who did a fair job as acting Premier in Dan Andrews's absence was moved out in favour of Jacinta Allen. Would Merlino had been a better bet to replace Andrews as Premier instead of Allen? And how would Merlino had handled the 2026 Commonwealth Games debacle if he was in charge?

Commonwealth Games Scotland says it has an “innovative, cost-effective” proposal that would be almost entirely funded through Victoria’s compensation payout.
CGF begged Victoria to host it, so we are told. Hard to believe they would be in a position to demand anything.
