Nothing to worry about here. Parker is coming!

Now getting back to Rioli. Pick 6 is an absolute joke!

Trying to kill 3 birds with 1 stone here...

Richmond (or at least, some of it's fans) wants more than 6
GC will probably want to move pick 13 to avoid it being swallowed up in a Lombard bid.
Richmond fans are suggesting trading up a bunch of their late picks for another 1st in a points swap (Brisbane's has been mentioned).

So Richmond gets 6 & 13
GC gets Rioli, 31,41, & 49 (which add up to being slightly higher value than 13...after a few more picks are added for various reasons, maybe throw in 52 and/or 57 too)

Richmond gets 'more than 6' for Rioli, by trading up it's late picks for a better pick than Brisbane's.
Suns get Rioli and swap 13 for points.

Don’t suns want a F1 tho?

If somehow pick 13 ends up in the mix, firstly I will be shocked, but I reckon we give better picks back than 30's and 40's

I'd be good with that.

I'm really just looking at it as 2 different trades, done at the same time to allow both clubs to claim a 'win'.

Exact picks used would probably depend on how many list spots both clubs have available.

6 is already too much for Rioli.

It's insane there's some suggestion of adding more.

Am I really adding more?

I'd just be letting Richmond claim a win from being involved in something we're likely to do anyway.

and of course, the real question with the deal is how much salary Richmond will be paying....and if letting them claim a win means we score another 50k/year (on top of what they were already offering), I'll go with that.

We don't need picks this year though? We already have the picks for lombard this year. We need picks for next year's draft. Which is why we will most likely use pick 13 for a future 1st next year. I'd much rather a future first next year then a bunch of junk picks for this year

I am pretty sure we got enough point this year for Lombard. F1 involved for 13 is way more attractive. Part of Noble deal I suspect.

Pick 13 should bring significant overs for Suns with now upto 8 teams interested.

As for Rioli I suspect pick 6 is basically the deal with some possible minor deals around.

The Tigers will definitely be paying a percentage of his wage but how much who knows. They don't have much choice as losing so many players we are well under the minimum salary cap of 95%.

I think you’re pretty on the money here.

Pick 6 will be the crux of the deal.

I’d expect Richmond to try and leverage both how much salary we will pay and our suite of picks 30s to 60s to then target GCS picks 13,20,23,29 also briefly (before being shut down) enquire about your future picks.

From what the media is reporting, pick 13 will disappear to another club for a future 1st, Noble is potentially taking Pick 23, so my opinion would be the deal will be something like;

Picks 6,20
For
Rioli, salary relief (250-300k @ 1-2 years) and picks 32,50,60 (90 points additional to your pick 20 or equivalent to a free pick 65)

Still leaves us with later picks 42,44&69 to use in a trade with Brisbane for pick 18 (assuming we’d add graham compo pick to this- if 25 then obvs not use all later picks but if 42 then a combo of 42,43,45&70).

GCS get Rioli, salary relief and more points for Lombard (29,32,50&60 is equivalent to pick 7)

Tigs get 6 and use our junk picks for 20 and still have enough to look at other options with brissie

EDIT: obviously all those picks are moving around with FA & bids but use the same rationale

Don’t think you have enough for Lombard… Assume a bid comes around pick 5-10.

6 is for Rioli, 13 for future 1st, Noble needs to be traded so maybe 23 or 29+something else.

Best case you have 23,41,49 and that’s before more dilution with FA. That’s equivalent to pick 9

If he goes earlier then expected I assume other deals will be involved in later picks to get more points. But pick 13 has so much value and so many clubs are chasing it. We expect a future 1st will be involved in it at least and nothing less

Lombard will be 10+ most probably.

Noble + F1 for pick 13 likely.

Let's see.

Oh cause AA means the world doesn't it...
He could have easily been AA the last two seasons.
He is around the mark, I don't rate AA at all in fact people say in the media B&F mean more.
I don't know. I like Rioli offensively but calling him elite? Not for me. Defensively very average. He even struggled to keep up with Flanders in last round.

I'm not saying AA does mean the world.

Just don't agree with you that he's elite.
As I said, I think he's very good.

If you get pick 6 for him, you're making out like bandits IMO.
