We are selling Cap space
But if we can get 2 x F2's with cap space thats a better deal for GC than Pies F1 which will probably be 13+

Suspect GC might give you 23 if you provide enough points to make it worth their while. You may have a lot of unused picks this year.

so they want #23 for Noble and straight trade #13 for F1
#13 is worth way more than the pies F1 as they are in the same range in a worse draft

Blues offering F1 for #13 their F1 will be around #18

If Richmond get 2 F2 picks that could be worth more points than the above 2

Depends what GC's academy situation is next year. Lets assume the Blues are top 4, I always say assume the worst okay. Is pick 13 in a significantly better draft (this season) worth lets say pick 14 +pick 35 ish. Still think its pretty average and GC should be able to get significantly more.

This should be an easy trade pick 6 plus some swaps along the line

Noble & F1 for #13 is the best deal they can offer but they want #23 as well as #13 which makes that a crap trade for GC
Blues really are the worst of the trades they will finish top 4 and possibly top 2 with houston so their pick could be similar to Brisbane / Sydney picks this year around #19/#20

But the word Future 1st rounder sounds good
Best option for GC would be North's F1

So your p25 + p32 next year would only be worth roughly p16. This year it would be roughly p12.

Pies opening offer was apparently 13,23 &29 for Noble and their F1. Sure, it's just an opening bid, but it's in the laughably bad territory.

What I'm just saying is that we don't really care about if it's a F1 or not. (unless it's likely to be high enough that we can break it down further)

We care about maximising the points, and 2 low F2s could be more points than a high F1/F2 combo.

Don't really care which club can give us those points. As far as I'm concerned, 13 is a straight up auction.

Rioli is a good player, but I cant believe GCS are considering giving up pick #6 for him. If they do you'd hope they get something back from Richmond.

You obviously don't understand, how trade period works then. he is under contract for 3 more years & coming off a B&F value could not be higher at the moment.

Another reason is Suns are getting quality academy players for packets of chips, so they don't really need the high-end picks. to get their players through the door that they want ready-made players to come in & impact.

We’ve got a big academy year next year with Zeke potentially being a top 3 pick and other potential 1st rounders. With the change in points 2nd rounders just aren’t as viable now, you won’t really see us trade down the draft anymore from next year.

Carlton’s F1 could be 18 but it could also be 10-13 and so we’d pick up that F2 for free. The more first rounders we can stockpile for points and also trade targets next year, the better.
