I just mentioned this on the Changes thread, I just saw that Darcy is actually the 2nd best inside 50 tackler (by average) on our team this year. And ranked 12th in the AFL.

That plus his top speed stat this week have well and truly blown my mind. 2 stats I didn't think we would ever utter in the same breath and Darcy Fogarty

The Burgess effect starting to take a hold with him? and if so, it bodes well with another big offseason for next year!!!

Don't get me wrong - I'm definitely happy seeing a bit more consistency in Fog's game of late. He still needs to work on staying involved when the midfielders aren't delivering, but I'm definitely seeing positive signs - for the first time in a long time.
Berg was also getting those numbers when we weren't performing that badly, now the midfield is horrendous and FOG is matching Berg with pitiful delivery to him

Berg kicked 4 goals against Port & Richmond. Gollant also kicked 4 against Port (I was thinking of Gollant, not McAdam). All 3 were far more dominant performances than anything Fog has achieved this year.

The younger players can do it, and have shown that they're capable of doing it - but only Tex has done it consistently.

Based on what we've seen this year (at AFL level)... Berg's best is better than Fog's best, Fog's worst is worse than Berg's worst, but Fog's current form is considerably better than Berg's current form.
Unless they scored maximum coaches votes in the games you are referencing, I wouldn’t call them dominant games

Really? The same midfield players are now deliverying worse. Garbage.

They both had the same midfielders delivering to them, and Berg was (briefly) able to make more of it than Fog has.

It's hard to dominate consistently - though Tex manages to achieve it. It hasn't stopped Berg & McAdam from dominating 1 or 2 games each though. Fogarty has yet to dominate a game.

Berg kicked 4 goals in a game once this year, aside from that he is nowhere near Fogarty and that has been true from the start.

Tex is a seasoned AFL player, but even he is now struggling in the forward line, he's kicked 6 goals over the last 4 games...

Berg is shit, move on - Fogarty has more ability in his left hand than Berg.

Berg's games were full 4-quarter games, unlike Fog who still only puts in single quarter cameos (usually the 1st Q).

Berg wasn't able to sustain his brief purple patch, and now finds himself in the SANFL. It remains to be seen whether Fog will be able to maintain (or improve on) his current form.

The fourth goal is the threshold for domination?

Given it happened by two players in the same game, do you reckon we might look at what was going on with Port?

The militant unwillingness to ever check the accuracy of what you're talking about at any given time is remarkable.

Berg kicked 2x bags of 4, and his best this season is better than Fog's best this season.

Fog is ahead on current form.

Berg is s**t, move on - Fogarty has more ability in his left hand than Berg.
It would be nice if he could finally deliver on that ability - we've been waiting 5 years for him to do so.

Fog may have more ability, but that doesn't alter the FACT that Berg's best this year is still better than Fog's best this year (and Fog's worst is worse than Berg's worst). Fog needs to actually use his God given ability, which he has continually failed to do over the course of his career to date.

Great, we're up to like our eighteenth Vader statistical line in the sand for performance.

Now the fourth goal is important, except for that time that Fogarty kicked five because as Vader told us last year goals when you're a receiver don't count.

So much analysis of a couple of good or reasonable games for two players. Ricky O kicked three in his first game!
Must have been bettter than both

Just gotta work on keeping that stupid moustache off his face now.

Some other players need to take a leaf out of Fogs book, take themselves a bit more seriously and rid themselves of those ridiculous Mullet attempts.

That run down tackle was great. Didn't realise he could run that fast. How come we haven't seen that burst of speed more often though?
In all honesty , he looks to me, more what I expected from when his draft videos came out than what we've seen since basically his first season.

I was thinking of Matthew Kluzek’s 5 goals in only his 3rd game. Pity he was delisted a couple of years later at only 23yo.

How to say you never watch games without saying you never watch games.

Agree! Crazy hairstyles, mustaches and tattoos are not welcome at our club.

Imagine having players like Bailey Smith, Dustin Martin or Nat Fyfe on our team!
