completely different type of player too. Marshall is a lead mark kick kind of forward suited to the forward 50. Fogarty has the ability to get right up the ground and link play along with his ability to hit packs.

That's been the subject for Fog's biggest critics - he didn't hit the packs hard enough for his size, or work hard enough after a lead.

After an interrupted preseason and slow start this year, he's now ripping all of that up, and is still as deadly accurate from just about anywhere.

That accuracy was the shared thread with Marshall (which probably drew the comparisons) who is struggling with his own issues of fitness, lack of confidence and dealing with expectations. I still think he will potentially also be a very good player, albeit different (unless he stacks on about 15kg of muscle).

Churned out his usual - 5th year in the system, 5 preseasons, pick 12 bust, delist and accept it was a wrong pick

End of him for this season, if he was out on contract he would be delisted. Either fortunately or unfortunately we've got him until the end of next year and we may as well take advantage of it, give him a full mental reset and hope burgess can work some magic but he's looking like a bust at this rate.

Yep, I started out with belief. Over time that waned to just hope, and now even that is disappearing. Needs to start tearing games apart very, very soon or we should be looking to trade him for whatever we can get this year (late 3rd / 4th rounder probably about the best we could hope for if there's any interest at all) otherwise he'll be a delist next year.

this is my take on Cook as well

Just needs to find more consistency and aggression towards the ball like Fogs.
