Bump

Glass has gone 14 qtrs of footy without conceeding a goal :) And hes still injured to boot :D. His opponents have bagged 5 goals. Every goal was when Glass was resting on the bench.

Does that mean Glass is hurting the Eagles by not being able to run out a game, or help out his teammates, the Eagles have been beaten quite easily of late, I dunno, just putting it out there for discussion to see what those that know think.:)

Hes injured. Moreso then a bloke like Brad Johnson but Glass plays on because without him Brett Jones would be our most experienced backman :mad:

Glass has been spending about 10-15 mins a game on the bench and it REALLY hurts us when he does. You just know when hes on the bench too. The only affect the injury is having on him nowdays is it takes him a long time to warm up from half time so he needs a spell in the 3rd qtr all the time and thats when we have been blown away alot of the time.

Doubt he coud be considered now for AA. After a very poor start to the season, injured or not.
Why not? He had three poor games and has been very good in the last three. Admittedly we aren't winning at the moment so that probably works against him, and Scarlett and Rutten have been very good also.

But to say that he's out of contention already is just stupid. Steve Johnson made it in last year didn't he, after missing the first four matches of the season?

Fair enough. But Scarlett, Rutten & Lake have had great seasons, particularly Scarlett whose only conceaded 6 goals this season.
Glass is still a fair bit behind those players.

:eek::confused:

As I said to Embers on another thread, if you classify Glass's last two games in particular as being 'very good', then I can understand why you Eagles fan reckon he is so bloody fantastic.

If Scarlett played like that it would be 'below average' for Cats fans who have watched him over the years.

Christ, last Friday he didn't have a designated opponent against the Dogs and against Port he was on Westhoff. Gee, he really is back in all conquering touch hey :eek: Look at who he is taking on.

He might not be leaking goals like he was early, but he has given nothing. He isn't moving well, not leading, not spoiling, and he's the key figure in a defence that has been shithouse.

He won't be getting any credit too soon Eagles fans, other than from you guys who are very lenient.
