So who is everyone tipping for the medal?? Rohan Baldock would have to be up there, even though he didn't poll well last time you can't ignore a bloke who kicks 120+ goals in a roster season. Tim Macmichael will also poll well as he is a class act. Milo Jones and Maxy Fisher from the pies should poll well also I reackon, both have been consistant all year. In the ressies I reackon maybe someone from south. Wilkins and sparra crawford will poll well espically sparra who I was told was on fire early in the season, maybe a bricca from somerset?? Or could there be a smokey in the crowd maybe a Brendan King from Natone who was regulary in the best for the pies. Intersted to hear some thoughts
Did you know mooch played in a winning Darwin side against NWFA back in 1993 (there was some great players back then)
Tod Chatwin seniors.Troy Rushton,Mathew Keygan,Corey Manttan reserves, invites for yolla, looks like the weathers going to tighten up games this weekend. It's a midfielders award, no1 that doesn't play the magority of their time on the ball will win it. I'd say Timmy Mac or maxxy Fair will win it. Both good players who have had good years! Both would b deserving winners!
Sorry Mighty Mick , I mean Chalky old mate ,I have hit a raw nerve ,I was actually singing your praises , good on you if you can demand the coin you are getting .A little birdy from Cuprona chirped that you were on about $200.00 a touch this year .You averaged five possies a game standing in the goal square all year . Best of luck with your cricket at Yolla old boy . As I said you are worth evey cent as you are a living legend .Here she is old Crosswel still talking S***!!! Was just having a look around to see whats going on in the footy world and you are still alive. Just thought i would remind you about what you said about Plant taking the boys to the promise land this year - Got the right bloke havent i???? Well you should probably go and get a tissue and wipe the egg off your face now buddy! I love it when a plan comes together!!!!
should be a ripping game this weekend in the prelim somerset v south burnie any thoughts on who will win and why?
South Burnie should win but Somerst Football Ground is Souths Boggie Ground. South Burnie need to find a ruckmen quickly after seeing last week Stubbsy played a good game but he a Forward not a ruckmen. Where Rob Williscroft. Somerset just need to run,run & run the legs off South from the get go. Dont let South great a start they will be to hard to catch. My tip South Burnie by 32pts
Todays paper says it is played at Wivenhoe is it? if it is STH by 10 points if at s'set, roo's by 22.
Game is at Somerset BTDT. The seniors will be a toss up - Somerset won last time but they'll probably miss Kodey French this time round.
I'll pick the Roo's to win by less than a kick but I'm biased.
Somerset have some players back in the reserves which will hopefully get them up tomorrow. If they do win I'm not sure if they can pick up 20 goals on South Burnie the following week though.

good tipping whisky.... hope you can tip the winner again next week .
go roos please break the hoodoo its our time to shine !!!!
the roo boys where fantastic at the weekend in what was a great game of footy the south boys threw everything at them at after half time the roos boys took the game by the scruff of the neck and won by guts and determination. this weeks finals should be great games
the reserves south v somerset who will win and why?
the senior natone v somerset who will win and why?
my tips are south in the reserves by 35 experiance will get them home and save what has been a dissappointing season for them
somerset in the seniors by 12pts timmy mac has the boys purring they believe they can win and are not afraid to face anyone at the moment.
somersets last 10 games 9 wins 1 loss so winning form is good form
I imagine South may be able to bring a couple back now the ones are finished so they would be favourites you would think and they have the runs on the board so to speak.Interesting game at 2PM as the Roos have plenty of momentum coming in and have benefited from the 18 game roster having to adapt to a new gam plan , coach and new faces and have got better as the season has gone on however Natone will be smarting after getting so close last year and as stated many posts ago having Duffy as a bench coach has helped immensley. The Roos are clean and skilled and have pace but Natone with the Trolley boys, Suter , Ali Radford and the like have "talls" that can allrun and take a grab.Obviously midfield match ups will be vital with Moppa, Milo, Maxy and the like going head to head with Buddah, Timmy, Hampto, Willo and Slappa whom I think would certainly play.Too close this early in the week to call, well done to all teams to make the finals and a very well done to the Yolla ladies and men of the kitchen for a fantastic feed at the DFA dinner yesterdayA toss up in the seniors given Somerset's recent form but given they haven't beaten Natone all year & Slapper Mathews isn't playing you'd have to favour the Magpies.
In the 2's it's hard to see a 20 goal turnaround from the 2nd semi. Assuming South will get 1-3 players back from the seniors they'll be even harder to beat.
I hope I'm wrong though

No need for Ducks and Drakes you blokes out at LangleyBy the way Whisky, are you Nathan "Whisky" House that played at Somerset last year and is now a Premiership player at Forest Stanley ?Slapper headed back out to sea re work last week for another 6 week stint I believe
Geez Buggsy, unusual for somebody on here to make assumptions and-or predicitions actually based on "fact"-good on ya brotherI have been looking out for a comment from bear grills 16 but he seems to have gone missing. Looks like South Burnie have let the senior flag slip away with another senior season wasted. I feel sorry for people like the Snooks family only to see their senior team slip out of the premiership race in straight sets . They need to buy the right players to get results.Heard it was a good day and meal yesterday at Yolla and I was sorry I did not get there. My grand final tips for the grand final will be put on here later in the week when I know the teams and the umpires.
Not missing mate am right here. Well what can I say we were not good enough and Somerset were the better team on the day! Indeed he has but I believe he may fall overboard somewhere near burnie for a couple of days this coming weekend If my info is correct !?
