Yolla played rosebery toorak on friday night don't know how many they had out but yolla beat them by 140pts,wynyard boys clay jones and tim lawrence played well.
Yep, Tim kicked 8 but opposition not great, he will be a handy pick up for sure, expect some of the younger players nurtured by Wildman to step up this year

Are you for real?? He has dodgier knees than David Schwartz! Will break down the bloke hasnt played more than 7 games in a year since 2005. Good bloke but his body has let him down a fair bit
Blair has serious legspeed and that does not go astray in this comp eg Jamie Collins,Brady Yates,Matt Wilson, young Smith from Natone, the McKreadie boys at Yolla, young Wedd from Queeny-all hard to catch and set their forward line entries up for their individual teams.Hayes will be a pick up and Ridgley will be top 3 I reckon, not forgetting Aza Butler back to control their backline as well

Picked up Claye Young, Curt Mollison and apparently Sam Good from dockers, so they should be flying again! Yolla and Ridgley in the final?

Bit early for this call brother, Unknown 42 is this Dave Fraser as this is his number ?Anyway,Dees were a little away last year as was Ridgley-surely Somerset will be therabouts again and you cannot discount the Pies from up the other hill , as stated on many , many occassions on here, the 5 will be the same and may even change round 18, even the draw has a significant effect on actual ladder positions and lets not forget the perenial finalist at Wivenhoe and I mean no diirespect to Yeoman, the mighty Hawks, is Buddyhawk still out there, cricket has finished now, get back here !

Ridgley had an intra-club practice match last night with some very good signs! Claye Young and Curt Mollison were very impressive and will be hard to stop this year! :thumbsu:

yeah nathan radford was another standout from the game he is a jet and will definitely rip it up this year

Big call early, wait and see against "real" opposition but there is no doubting Ridgley will improve for sure.Need to be careful with intra club games as most blokes take it easy against "mates".we will all know more when the season starts

the opposition may not have been "real" but there is no doubting that those three blokes have genuine talent and will make an impact in the comp this year

For sure, they have played at a supposedly higher level and will fit in well at Ridgley.I think their main improvement will be in having Couls back as a coach and that is by no means disrespectful to those at the helm last year it is just the fact Nigel has been there and done that with the majority of this group. Is Mouse playing this year as he is a potent force up forward ?Any news from Wivenhoe and the Hawks, things seem a bit quiet out there currently and can anybody confirm Shaun Braslin is playing at Natone ?

Not sure about Shaun Braslin but I can confirm there were FREE sausages on offer at Langley Park last night & Chalky didn't indulge - the biggest surprise of 2011 so far for sure :D

Lets not get too excited about them, they will be very solid Darwin players but they won't be stars, you have to remember last year dockers didn't exactly have great depth in their seniors, mostly filled up with talented youngsters. Radford couldn't get a game with them, Mollison was disadvantaged with travel and Young was injured wasn't? Still a solid pick up for the club. What is young woods like that was mentioned in the paper?

I am aware Wyllie coached Yolla last year, can somebody fill me in on Grant Jackson's coaching info?
Was at some stage an aasistant at Ulverstone, the TC Bulldogs at Smithton in a Premiership under Nuts Johnson, co coach of the DFA side last year, coached Somerset a few years ago and was hands on with his brother , Kent, with the NTFL and Tas Under 23s-I think ?

yeah. mouse playing mooch.wouldnt say potent though as he only gets a kick when the delivery from the middle is on song.will miss the next few through injury and suspension though

Like any forward, delivery is important, speaking of, why was the weather not like today instead of a howling gale at the weekend ?Surely would have to have been a factor in the Saints kicking 30 points and the Roos 16!Overall, results ok, Queeny way better thanlast year,South still up there contrary to some pre season predictions, Yeomanmuch the same, Yollas inclusion of new players handy, Cuprona a fair bit taller and improved from last season,Coulson the champion he is back and firing,Natone getting used to a new coach and players as with Somerset adjusting with players left and new ones in to the fray

For sure a big surprise, he must have nabbed a free lunch at work beforehand:D
