Chalky has been a fairly good servant for the SFC. Stayed there through thick and thin. Who are the players he is supposedly going after?

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

not 100% sure mooch but brad davis has been meantioned
If thes two as in Horse and Browny are the two then we had better start searching again.Horse has an asking price almost as much as Grant Jacksons was to coach which was half the whole salary cap and Browny is certainly not ready to jump down to this level yet.Geez, anybody can ask anyone but lets be realistic about the situation, I might give Denis Pagan a call for the boys !

First I have heard but in saying this he is fairly keen to Coach and the only way is up at a Club like Cuprona, still think he would struggle time wise what with cricket , family and work.Has stated he would not coach again at Somerset as arespect thing but I reckon he will collect his 8th goalkicking award out of ten whilst at Somerset and wait until the new Coach is appointed and then see if that coach requires his sevices on his fairly limited trainig regime

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

Chasing Paddy Wright,Slappa Mathews, Bull Innes,Pete Saward, Aaron Jones, Rohan Baldock, Damo Farrow, Chet and not Josh Barry !

must give chalky his dues he could have left years ago for more money but he stayed at the roos shows the caracter of the bloke.

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

If he doesn't have the time for senior role why not in the two's?? Natone and other clubs are looking for coaches for the two's??

Carpenter?? I would be chasing him as it would be a lot more realistic to secure his services than the others. Just because names are being thrown around doesn't mean you'll get an interview!

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

I'd be very surprised if either Browny or Brad coached somerset next year. I thought Brad was keen to play with South and that Browny was keen to coach either at NTFL level or Burnie ! But I could be wrong!

Browny would only go if he could get number 8! Reckon there would be a few blokes lickin their lips if he was to play in the Darwin, he would have more padding on then a gridiron player!

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

Of course they are a chance, unless the players trip takes them on a plane ride over the Andes!
They turned over about 8 from last years team so they can do it playerwise however if Sid and Couls are not there this will seriously affect their chances and even though they were tall this year at times they were found wanting last week in regards to legspeed but there is no doubt, they know how to win come the serious end of the year-bit like the mighty Burnie that had 5 cups in a row alah Booker T !

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

Way to hard for Brownie, although i reckon Docker5 could handle it, he has show some agression the last three weeks that would even bluff you Mooch!

A lots been written on here about Somerset and Cuprona coaching staff next year any whisper on Yeoman Yolla and Natone oh and even Queenie????

Re: Darwin Football Association Part 2

Mark King was good and obviously carrying a leg injury as well, Sid struggled up forward when the ball hit the ground along with Willy and that was the reason the Pies were still in it most of the game, their leg speed

Mark King snapped tendons in his ankle i think but battled on. I would of said that Natone struggled for leg speed myself but neither side are a fast flowing team. And had they had someone braking the lines like that young cooper they may of got the chocolates.
