Believe it or not - that was not the worst thing that happened at that game (yes, I was there).

Aussie Jones took a kick out from full-back. He didn't just put it out of bounds without being touched. He didn't just put it out on the full from the kick-out - he put it over the fence on the full from the kick out.

I'm pretty sure neither team made the finals that year:D :D :D :D :D :D

Had a good chat to him on Thursday night. Still working at Coca Cola. Into his 13th year there. Had put on a bit of weight and got to 100kg when he decided to lose a bit and now looks lean and fit. I had a quiet chuckle thinking he couldn't put weight on as a player too.
Broderick was there too but didn't get to talk to him. Tiger greats Roger Dean and Michael Green spoke to the audience.

Just by chance I was doing some youtube deep-diving, and I came across the game in question.

Here is the game - I've teed it up to Aussie Jones' kickout).

If you want to relive the famous 'David Bourke takes a specky in the goalsquare - and misses from point blank range' - it's at 59.55.

I love that they're wearing my TAC jumper, too!

No. I think I got banned. Can’t remember. No, actually I got banned from PRE. Might give it a go and see if it still works.

All the goodies get banned from PRE at some stage:D Like playing Russian Roulette when posting a response to Rosy.

You had a crush on Jughead and Rosy

That's actually true. Oh the dreams I had.

I'll never forget Jughead's last game for us. Was against Carlton in the 2001 SF at the G. He comes on late in the last quarter. When the game was pretty much all over. Gets one kick - which goes out on the full on the Northern side. And that was his last contribution in a Richmond jumper.

I saw him over the Summer months after. He got out of a beat up old Nissan on Swan Street with junk and crap in it everywhere eating a burger - just like Jughead. Not long after that I saw him in the Swan Hotel on Friday night when he was in pre season with North Melbourne absolutely blotto with a *** hanging out of his mouth.

Heh heh heh. Ah geez. They don't make em like that anymore.

Spot on Ace Frehley ! What a dishonest nutter.

I hear she is selling or maybe has already sold it. Good news for PRE'enders if so.

Haha, that's been gonna happen for years - she is a sycophant, wants people to fawn over her and say "you are so good doing this please don't go", also has an elevated view of PRE's value, which is OK, that's her prerogative on that.

Our nickname for this guy has always been noodle. I see no reason to change it... except maybe for spud, who ironically was coaching us at the time

Just a little too uncoordinated for AFL, though he was going to get it sorted as he grew into his body, especially given his old man's genes, but never really did. Was probably a talent never fulfilled. He sits in good company.
