Good! This is what I've been waiting for. Start cleansing the assistants from the old era and get new people that can gel with the new coach, and while we're at it, get rid of Meehan! I want Yze to get the best support possible so he can be the best coach he can for us.

Hopefully Kane Lambert takes the step up and continues to inspire our cubs to not drop their heads in these tough times and follow his lead in always aiming for continued improvement. Steve Morris would also fit the bill but his current role is equally as important and would hate to see our VFL side robbed of his excellent leadership.

we definitely need some new blood. get rid of our kick in coach. other teams go coast to coast. our plan is kick it 25m to the pocket who then kicks it long and high to the wing where we don't have any dominant marking talls.
and get rid of our forward coach. we have won the inside 50's a bit lately. but our plan is slow play with a 50m kick to 10-20m, with again no dominant marking tall. it was a bit better in the 2nd half on the weekend where we tried to hit up some leads or short targets

Dunno why the hate for Rutten, the fact we have a bunch of players that can play back but not forward (Rioli, Miller, Balta, Baker, probably Brown, Mansell etc.) makes me think he's doing something right. My guess is players like Broad, Young and Short have benefitted from a decent structure and would have gotten exposed much more at other clubs.
I expect our troubles counter-attacking out of D50 is more the ball-movement coach. Also we were good at that in 2017/18 during his first stint at the club.

Na something not right not buying that. We're usually good at letting staff go very weird immediately it has happened.

They HAVE to tell assistants now if they are NOT going with them next year. Everyone knows this, it's not a Richmond thing.
If Yze wants to change his assistants they must be told now. That's what happened.

I think he might be referring to the fact he has left now rather than work through to the end of the season.
That seems to indicate that it wasn't a good working relationship in the end.
Na you just don't say it how it is and got blinkers on that's the problem you give them a free pass no accountability.
Mate alot of coaches leave and change between clubs , but always end of year. If told its kept quiet till end of year. Who said I'm not buying it ??. It's the manner it's happened.

Just caught the tail end of ch9 News re Teagues departure, I think I heard Lambert to forward coach and there was some angst in the club re how our forward line was performing
