Teague was revolutionary, the first half of the year he moved the ball into the forward line via Brownian motion and the second half of the year he tried ball movement via osmosis by getting the forwards to sweat more than the midfield.

Not so sure about that.
2022 Teague gets praise for his offensive plan.
2023? No Newman - just Teague Bog average.

2024 decimated with injuries - Newman.

If Yze gets an out then surely Newman does. Nothing I've seen Teague do impresses me.
I think 2023 was X Clarke as forwards coach with Teague handling offensive ball movement.

From what I have seen in the media it was Teagues call to go. Let’s hope the club has the balls to cut deeper at the end of the year. I don’t think they will though. The club hasn’t made a tough decision on any player or coach in many years now.

He is winning matches with a bunch of local footballers he recruited from around the state against superior opposition every second week .... and he is doing it with twice the injuries .... he loses players when the AFL gets injured as well as missing his best 4 VFL players for most of the season ...

maybe go watch a game ... they play direct ... use the centre square ... take the game on ... they are just great to watch ... they play hard for Morro ... they play like he played

We actually went into this year with one less line coach and an extra development coach compared to last year.

Lost Mini and X and gained Newy (plus Ziebell as a dev coach).

If you look at the lines they were given:
  • Truck backs (+ Lonergan development)
  • Newy mids (+ Ziebell dev)
  • Teague forwards (+ Lambert Dev)
  • Maric rucks

They dropped the ball movement line coach from the structure, with Newy reportedly being the one Yze entrusted with that role and Teague trying to influence it.

Therefore it's not inconceivable that we could go into next year with two new assistants to replace Teague and add a ball movement coach back in.

Wouldn't have guessed from watching the games that we had no ball movement coach 😜

Very good sauce.
Jarrod Rivers .
If Rivers is the replacement for Teague I'll be pretty disappointed. Bloke hasn't had a job at an AFL club since 2020.

Happy for him to come in as an additional development coach, but we need someone more credentialed to take over from Teague.

I noticed that been coaching in the amature league.

People want to keep him cause he played for us, if he didn't, there'd be no desire here to keep him.

What's the argument he's any good at his role?
Green, Lefau, Campbell and Mansell all having good years from a development standpoint and that’s his role as the fwds development coach

needs a chance, it’s been a turbulent period for him since beginning as a development coach in 23. He was promoted after Dimma resigned , this is only his second year and he has served under 3 senior coaches. Not an ideal start for a young assistant/ development coach
