Bo Allan looks good in the midfield, Luke Urquhart is a very direct long kicking mid who can burst away from congestion, Hamish Davis looks decent as well

Malakai Champion should fit the criteria
Champion will be nowhere near the pointy end.

Still think Murphy Reid top 10 though you have brought him in from 30s.
Cannot see Josh Murphy being drafted before joe berry.
Sid Draper at 4 is way too early for mine.
I reckon Floyd burmiester is athletically gifted.
I watched retschenko play last week. Very slow for mine- one paced.

And that’s why we need to keep our picks in the top 30. oFarrell and Shanahan will do nicely thanks.

Its an interesting draft isnt it - very even, to a point where your last pick Nicholls could go in the top 25. I think small forwards are a premuim atm and Kako, Champion, Dattoli, Day-Wicks will all be top 30. I havent seen a lot of Faull but wouldnt rate him any higher than Simms or Gerryn on what I have seen. Faull projects as a Mihocek type and big bodied worker.

I thought the Whitlocks have been fairly ordinary in their championships games both look to lack agility/speed and dont rate either inside the top 40. Unless Lalor has a big back end of the season I can see him also being a big slider similiar to George Stevens last year. But its all subjective and I appreciate your efforts Davo.

Faull strong mark and knows how to finish, a bit like Mihocek, maybe even better and i rate Mihocek and what he does for Coll in clutch moments.

The Whitlocks have great athletic traits, but have been a bit ordinary so far in the champs, I'm hoping they lift in their last 2 games to show their best and if they help VC win the champs, they could change perceptions

What’s your knock on Kako? To me he is doing everything possible to push as a potential top 10 selection.

Any thoughts on Xavier Kardachi from the jets? Even though he didn’t make the stacked Metro squad I feel like he is criminally underrated. Rarely plays a bad game, can play inside/outside and good balance between his offensive and defensive running.

I have no knocks on Kako, just compare N Watson stats to Kako Stats in ctl, Academy and champs, the answer is there, Watson kicked over 2 a game, while also averaging around 30 in mid or hbf and in nearly every game was in the top 6 players, Kako is a bit over 1 a game, not so great in mid or hbf and rarely in the best 6 for his team, both quick exciting small forw prospects though, just not in the same league leading up to their professional careers, (1 is a top 5-10 and the other a 2nd rounder imo)Karachi didn't stand out enough for me, even at the Vic trials.

Interesting! Not sure I agree, but it's interesting to discuss.

Watson was a bit of a freak outlier when it came to his production as both a small forward and as a midfielder, however I think his midfield stats are a bit of a moot point because he is never going to be a full time midfielder at AFL level anyway, same goes for Kako. He was rightly ranked inside the top 5.

Kako's CTL stats compare favourably (if not better) with the likes of other recently drafted small forwards like, Jacob Konstanty, Josh Rachele, Cody Weightman who were all taken inside the top 20. Kako, imo has just as much upside as someone like a Rachele or Weightman when playing purely as a small forward.

Kako reminds me of Papley. Will be a better player than that cheating little bitch Watson.
That’s a very poor way to speak about anyone let alone an 18 year old guy trying to make it as an elite athlete who would have faced pretty difficult challenges and crap like this all through his childhood.

I believe Kako's strengths will translate better to AFL than Watson. I see Watson as a small man child (Gary Moorcroft) who wont have the same levels of improvement of other kids his age. Thats not to suggest he isnt or wont be a good player just limited because of his already mature body. Kako looks more in the Brad Close/Brent Daniels mould who can play that link role into the F50.
