I'm totally shattered. I'm tipping a bottom 4 finish next year and likely we'll trade some other duds in who will become list cloggers for the next 5 years. FMD the club needs to take stock as we have completely dismantled our premiership squad in a little over 4 years.

This topic has everything to do with Bucks based on what I've been hearing for awhile and Caro's mail from a couple of months ago.

You can cover your face and claim it's not happening all you like but it is mate, whether you believe me or not it's up to you of course.
Mate, I'm not covering my face at all. I just don't see the need for basically the same topic to be discussed in every thread, irrespective of thread title.

Think it's in you're interest to trade him to the Gold Coast. Pick 7 and 14 to go with your first. You might also get one of there young talls. 3first rounders this year not to mention what hine did last year will set up your future

Throwing Malceski into the trade would prevent you losing any free agency compensation. Malceski could help you fill the hole of Harriter.

Mitchell would be great for you. Possibly better than Beams in the long term. It's also about bringing back a player whose father was a prominent Collingwood player.

So Beams for Mitchell it is. I severely doubt that's going to happen TBH.
And 'father was a prominent Collingwood player' is probably a bit of a stretch as well.

Appreciate your input all the same :thumbsu:

Simple. I blame Buckley first, and the board second.

Players of Beams' quality don't get "home sick" when the club is stable and the future is looking bright.

What an utter mess we have become. So ********** pissed off right now.
Nah but they do when their family at home are sick.
Grow a brain and stop being a sheep

Our games next year will be like a wake, the crowds dwindled as we were stunned as too what was happening....but as it sets in that we are no good and will be for some time. Eddie, and Buckley will have hell too pay.

I thought the average crowds were a result of the AFL's poor fixture and our shit match day experience? Least that's what Ed has been banging on about

You'd never think it was because we play a god awful brand of footy.

Alas this isn't the thread to discuss our average ball movement, structure, skill level etc.

That would be a very good deal for you guys imo.

Not unreasonable to think GC would do it either as they have enough young talent and would be looking for a ready made gun.

If Beams goes to GC, get on Ablett for the Coleman

The other hurdle is Brisbane can offer Beams more and their is a chance Beams says Brisbane or nothing.

That's actually the most reasonable trade that's been suggested so far imo, and the most realistic. It's not like GC want draft picks with the young talent they have. Established players are what they need to take the next step.

I'm not that upset about it tbh, don't get me wrong he's our 2nd best player and he will be missed but I had us finishing around 10-14 next year, and I don't think Beams leaving changes that. Players will come and go, other sides have lost arguably more important players in recent years and have coped with it, as will we.

Buddy Franklin fits that category but we aren't good enough to cope with like say Hawthorn who is just a class team.

We are an average side losing our 2nd best player who is only 24yrs old and one of the premier players in the competition. We are now an even more so average side with his departure.

Players will always come and go and we will be fine at some point but we are in for some more pain I fear.

Eh? So Beams + pick 8 for pick 7 and 14?

That's another premiership player gone, making it a total 4 premiership players leave us this year (including Lumumba).

A total of 12 premiership players have left us since 2010 in a space of 4 years and we were talking about winning back to back to back premierships haha.

It will be tough next season as we will lack mature players and leadership at the club. It hurts a lot when your second best player walks out of your club as well. Before we blame the club let's wait and see how will end up at the end of the trade period.

If people are going to be "fair weather fans" then I say LET EM....more room for the pies fans that want to watch our boys play.
We're better than that.
