Aquaman apparently in its third set of reshoots and the Batman cameo (first Keaton then Affleck) has been cut.

At this stage surely just release it in whatever state it’s in. They are throwing good money after bad.

Somewhere in all of this Gunn said on Twitter nothing pre-Legacy is canon (which seems pretty obvious at this stage) so what’s the point.

Genuinely idiotic.

If he hadnt already destroyed the brand with the "The Flash is the greatest superhero movie ever" (spoiler, it wasnt) this isnt helping him.

Get the old shit out, cut the loss and move onto the new stuff with some excitement.

Strikes have already smashed your momentum,

At this point just a surprise drop of the two of them on streaming might be the way to go. Will not actually happen of course, but the publicity would be free and no distribution costs, then no one would talk much about them for the two years in which Legacy gets made.

I assume that's the last time we see Cavill as Superman? Still sad about that, he's been great.
Keaton reprized the role of Batman after 30+ years.

We have till ~2055 for Cavill to come back. :$

Can you imagine how many times they will have rebooted Superman till then? At least 3 times potentially.

Is there in existence an actual finished "polished" version of Batgirl ?

Supposedly there was a version screened for key cast and crew members as a one time only thing. And now it’s in a metaphorical vault with significant financial ramifications to WB if it is released publicly.

Might get Superman: No Way Home
I definitely believe Cavill will be offered the opportunity to reprise the role, whether he takes up the offer remains to be seen.

Might also depend how his career pans out to some extent.

Just on that, suprised Brandon Routh's version of Superman didnt appear in The Flash.

Probably because he’d already reprised it on TV. And they seemed to want to distance themselves from that.

A sequence involving say him and Cage actually doing something rather than a five second cameo might have been cool.

I read that it was still a fair way off, with some more scenes to be filmed, plus VFX etc.

Still, if there was enough to show the cast it can’t have been that far off something coherent.
Ive heard all sorts of rumours online, not sure what to believe.

Im sure one day something may be leaked on line.

Im still annoyed Gustin didnt get a cameo or Pfeiffer for that matter. The more I think about it the more I think putting the Cage cameo in was stupid especially when the overwhelming majority of the audience wont know whats going on.

Having said that im about to watch the movie again right now.

Personally didn’t have a strong opinion of the cameos one way or the other but there was absolutely no rhyme or reason to them that’s for sure. Cage confused my wife, lack of Bale even more so.

I guess we’re discussing with no spoiler tags now. Yes I recall feeling underwhelmed at the time. Whilst I enjoyed the Cage reference, I also recognise I’m in the small minority who would’ve got it.

I remember all the hype in the mid-late 90s with the Burton Superman Lives film, which then morphed into the Kevin Smith Flyby project. None of which eventuated. It was a nice little nod to that however there was much more that could have and should’ve been done. No Bale is the glaring one.

Suspect the cameos changed a lot in post production. It was probably tacked on.

Might have been cool to have Cage turn up for a while with a speaking part and something to do, but it would have required him being on set and being de-aged.

No Way Home had the most ridiculous plot of any movie I can remember but the way it dealt with its multiverse appearances was very, very good. Everyone had a reason to be there.

It doesnt look promising but I hope it doesnt flop Xolo's sake. I also hope the actors strike ends too so he can at least get to do some press before the movie gets released. Should be an exciting time for him now but its all bad news at the moment where this movie is concerned. No doubt Zaslav is regretting the decision to pull it from Max and release it theatrically now.

I reckon the studio is privately thrilled about the strike part because it gives them an excuse not to promote it.

Thats a double edged sword. Yes you save money but even less people are going to see it.

We will never know the exact figure but I do wonder how much the lack of a press tour hurt The Flash. Keaton being avalaible for the full rounds would have made a difference not enough to make it profitable though thats for sure.

Harrison Ford doing the rounds hasnt really helped Indy 5 box office too.

WB has gone all in on Barbie though though I wonder if thats to shit on Nolans party for leaving them.

I think they’ve given up hope on this one. I doubt $20m promo would lead to $20m box office. The brand is ruined.
