Very sad news.

Always thought he was unfairly made the scapegoat for that Melbourne tanking saga & genuinely believe he could have turned that club around.

Was highly regarded during Ports 2004 premiership campaign. And I don't believe it was a coincidence Adelaide's best season in a while came in 2012 when he was in the box....then struggled in 2013 when he was (unfairly) suspended.

The thing with lung cancer is it is often only discovered in its latter stages. My father-in-law died 6 weeks after being diagnosed with lung cancer & my grandfather 2 months after diagnosis.
