Dean Bailey passes away.

Herald Sun just called his life-ending illness "a predicament." Right. Pricks.

Very sad though after such a late diagnosis. Still had a long stretch of living in front of him. Vale and thoughts to his family.

I am writing this with tears rolling down my face..as i remember him playing for Essendon in my teenage years.

Dean Bailey as a player was not flashy or brilliant - just an honest goer. It is what made him one of Sheedy's footsoldiers.

He wore #31 before Fletch and arguably his best match was in 1991 against the Weagles at Windy Hill - standing up as injury after injury hurt the side and we got so close to knocking them off.

Since then his contribution to the game is well known.

Taken far too soon from us Bails RIP

Honestly of the belief he was a great coach who was forced to play in a certain way to meet the ends that Melbourne sought at the time. RIP to a great man, who always came across as a top bloke. Way too young.

Shocked - way too young. Thoughts & condolences to his family.
RIP Dean.
