I take no comfort at all that we made it through to the 2017 GF last year. For Melbourne its like they achieved something.
I guess after 12 years of being shit, you got the benefit of being on the right side of the draw and playing teams that were already shot.
Pick 10 and 16 is about right for Lever, that's provided you finished high this year which you did but if it was pick 10 then that would have been overs.
However, you did overpaid for his salary, $850K for 4 years for an intercepting defender in his 4th year who isn't good one on one, that salary is in the range of Rance's.
