Not one part of his post did he defend DeGoey. You grow the fu** up and learn how to read, malaka
He did say that DeGoey doesn’t have a problem with alcohol. Citing 6 months without touching it.
But it appears that when he does touch it he goes too hard, which is the definition of having an alcohol problem.

Oh well.. at worst he is found guilty on all counts and is dropped by the club. At best he is found not guilty and he will take a big hit in his next contract salary freeing up salary cap and keeping a good player

Lol he was literally acquitted a few months back and every wants to hang that on him as well.
Show me where he was “acquitted”.
You need to understand that being acquitted is a court of law believing you and not the prosecution.
DeGoey has never been acquitted. He has been found guilty of driving charges in the past, but never acquitted.

All he said was he has barely been on the piss for 6 months, that's not defending him. Comprehension is useful

You and BEEG defending him is inspiring……….have you guys booked your flight for his defence in his court Case.

The bloke is a pisshead……….the fact he hasn’t figured that out yet is disturbing to me but obviously not to you and BEEG

In both cases the court has decided that there is insufficient evidence to support any wrongdoing
Incorrect.
Charges withdrawn is not a court of law deciding there is insufficient evidence.
The judge does not make the decision to withdraw charges.

The court never decided anything. The attorneys probably decided it would not be a case they can win & withdrew the charges. It did not get to a judges or jury decision.

There are and were plenty of those in the AFL/VFL who have had long and successful careers. The Richmond and Carlton teams of the late seventies early eighties were full of them.

I believe the woman making the accusation decided to no longer continue to work with the prosecution.
This means the case collapsed.
Some may think she could have been the recipient of a large cash payment…….
But I know nothing of that.

Even if De Goey is acquitted of all charges, he has spent his tickets at Collingwood.
Again, how has he spent his tickets if he is acquitted of all charges? It's like a parent saying if you lie to me again you are grounded for a month. The kid's brother accuses him of lying but on further investigation you discover the accused was telling the truth. Nevertheless you tell him- "You are grounded anyway-you have spent all your tickets!"

Can you give me the sources for this?
You do not understand the way court systems work. Was he acquitted during trial? Yes of course we had no trial. Why? Because it was solved behind the scenes using money.

Don't need a source other than my brain to work it out.
Your brain needs a service.

This is just so sad all round. :disappointed:

Yep, I'm sad for JDG - he's just lost all chance of a brilliant AFL career, because his issues with alcohol seem to remove all vestiges of self-control. All that talent wasted, because of some destructive brain wiring.

I feel sad for the club and us supporters who have invested so much time, patience and hope into an individual who on his day can be a match winner, but has shown he cannot shoulder the added responsibilities and pressures of AFL stardom.

I feel sad for those NY club patrons who have suffered physically and emotionally at the hands of JDG and his so called mate.

Trying to find a positive to this sorry saga - it opens up an opportunity for someone else to forge an AFL career at the Pies.
