Arggghhh.... I hated that show. "Strange things happen when you're going round the twist."

Just on the topic of TV shows people watched when they are young. Unfortunately Degrassi was before my time, but did anyone from my sort of era see great shows such as Bump in the night!, The Biker Mice From Mars and the Street Sharks to name a few?

I watched a heap of those shows that were a little after my time cos my brother is a few years younger than me.
biker mice was sweet, and for some reason (pls don't laugh) i loved widget!
round the twist was totally sweet also. I thought saved by the bell was just lame though sorry.

5.00 Mysterious Cities of Gold.
5.25 Dangermouse
5.30 Degrassi
5.55 Roger Ramjet/Banaman
6.00 Peter 'Gday' Russel 'Gday' Claaaaaaaark

Whoa, Flashback.

Oddly enough, I never got into Degrassi, but watched all the rest. No Idea what I did for that half hour a day.
Also, I never got to see the final episode of Mysterious Cities of Gold, not until youtube came to the rescue. And got the song stuck in my head for a week.

Here's a brainwave - The theme song from the cities of gold as the new Kangaroos song.

Cheers for Bangers and mash Video.

Great thread

Sorry if mentioned before but Parker Lewis Can't Lose was an absolute cracker. Mikey randall, The Kube, Jerry, Miss Musso

Can't forget Pugwall and the Orange Organics

this was followed by California Dreams & Saved by the bell (old version)

Plenty of people who grew up in the 80s give a shit. Taught me everything I know.

Exactly. I'd be an acid taking, bridge jumping, goatee wearing, suicide committing, teen parenting, girlfriend bashing, aids infected broom head if it wasn't for degrassi high.

Nothing... and I mean nothing will ever top Hunter.

FOUND IT!

ZOMG I can not find a thing about this show. Love it, loved the mice.

What about those stupid movies that primary schools got given as class sets? Champions or Challenger or something like that. Those were alright back in the day

Yeah the woman who did the puppetry for Computer Cat is on FaceBook.

She rescued the puppet from the trash when ABC were throwing out old stuff, she has it in her closet.

classic. i'd pay good money for it.

We watched Hunter and then these stupid movies in class all the time. Good times.

Degrassi High was my favourite show when i was like 5-8 years of age. My parents didnt want me to watch it though and i didnt understand why. They recently brought the show back on ABC2 and it is actually pretty hardcore. A guy commits suicide, another guy catches AIDS, a girl gets pregnant and follows up with an abortion, a guy becomes a homosexual and this other guy bounces his girlfriend off the walls for disobedience amongst other things. This program used to be on the ABC on weeknights at like 6pm in the 1990's and i now understand why my parents didnt want me watching it. As for Wheels wearing the Footscray jumper :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:.
