It's a dangerous game reading too much into those stats given the standard of the competition.

Agreed but the Neafl is not as bad at the top end of the ladder as people think with 4 afl reserves sides and NT who regularly beat those sides . Perth and peel would struggle for top 4 in the Neafl but the bottom sides are crap . I also doubt that the likes of smith , Brennan and Wilson would be stars in the Neafl either . Those stats should be taken with a grain of saltIt's a dangerous game reading too much into those stats given the standard of the competition.
No experts but, in order.
1. Elite midfielders with a good to strong contested game base. This goes from extractors, balanced inside/ outside types and a wingman. At the moment the emphasis should be speed and disposal balance, height is as a tactical advantage should be considered secondary.
2. Good forward of center small and medium players. I don't really believe that the limited "crumbers" have a place in modern football. But smalls with elite ball handling, agility and goal sense would be nice. They need to bring midfield potential and other attributes to the table which makes finding them hard.
3. Half backs. With Smith, Wilson, Brennan on the exit and Butler, Waters injury issues and this will develop into an area of need. We'll need a high end prospect in the near future. Must be elite kicks, 185 - 190cm tall and have some physical aspects to their game.
from what i have seen of him, he isn't the quality type we need on the HBF to start our attacks.Tunbridge wasn't showing much when he was playing in the backline at wafl level. He only started to improved when moved forward. That was before he moved to east perth tho.
Given the list you've provided, who do you see fitting the bill and possibly available at our 1st, 2nd and 3rd free selections.
1.??? This is a worry. Pickett/or trade for Trengove. No one else who fits the bill will be available at our 1st pick. (Waterman with 3rd or 4th)
2. Caleb Daniel, Touk Miller, Aiden Anderson
3. Brenden Abbott, Dillon Viojo-Rainbow, Lucas Webb
Does anyone have the quote from Simmo about how many players he was looking at? Wasn't it either 7 or 17 players futures were up in the air?
Good on Simmo if true, Woosha set the club backwards with his list management. Hopefully Simpsons is allowed by our board to pick up the players needed in the trade period.
5 to 7 list changes.
Two of those are already Glass and Cox add Wilson, Smith and Brennan.
Not too sure about the rookies.

Basically he's de-listing some rookies and a couple guys who barely play a game, kind of a pointless list cut to be honest, once again going back to the well of players who are always shown faith but don't deliver in return
I wonder if De Goey could last to our second pick. KM seems to think so.
Talk on the bomber board that we are into Ryder. Can't see why.

Question to the drafting experts: what are the roles that need to be filled for us to potentially improve?
He's a quality player and whoever gets him will be getting him for free. If we got him we would definitely trade sinclair. Won't come to us though, i think he will go sydney and if he did come to WA Freo would be the place.Talk on the bomber board that we are into Ryder. Can't see why.

Not sure that he is or not because i can't be bothered checking. But for something really out there with seven shades of **** all chance of happening but i think it shows that really our list isn't that far away from premiership contention.
Pick up Ryder as a restricted free agent
Trade Nicnat for O'meara
Go to the draft with 10 and 29 and pick up up Waterman with our third rounder. Pickett with our first and whatever needs others think of.
Midfield combo in a couple/few years time.
FB Waterman Mackenzie Sheppard
HB: Yeo Brown Hurn
C: Pickett O'meara Gaff
R: Ryder Shuey Selwood
HF: Masten Mcgovern Lecras
F Cripps Kennedy Darling
Int: Lycett Sheed Rosa Bennell
Mcgovern can swing back with Lycett alternating between ruck and forward. Paddy can also play forward. One of the strongest and most damaging midfields in the league. Very solid defence with perhaps the best footskills from defence in the league. Multiple marking options as well as ground level skills and pressure from the forward line. Plenty of run from the bench.
Leroy Jetta leaves Essendon. Would be an interesting option to consider, is fast with good foot skills.
