With seven debutonts this year you can feel that a lot of players are on the out! Over the past three days I have compiled up a list of players that be be facing the axe when the time comes:
Carroll,
Collica,
Gaspar,
Green,
Humm,
R.Jones,
Munro (WHO ???) and
Wooden.

Collica, Humm and Munro are defiently's. Carroll, Green and Gaspar are a strong chance. As for R.Jones and Wooden like the others where is the room for them. Their not regualars and could be trade bait.

As for the defiently's they have played 5 games between them this year, and it was all by Humm. Strong Chance's have played(this season) 19 games, they all had their chance or two this season but were struck down by injury(Carroll and Gaspar) and Report(Green), a costly element when the time comes to talk about their career with the Eagles. Non Regualars are useful, but their is not enough room in the team when the likes of: Nicoski, Selwood and Chambers come back into the side. So out of the 8 i have listed, which ones do you think will remain on the Eagles list in season 2005?

Defiently delist:
Trent Carroll
Michael Collica
Travis Gaspar
Kasey Green
Jeremy Humm

Strong chance:
Kane Munro
Josh Wooden

Hold onto:
Rowan Jones

Pretty far off the mark IMO.

Gone:
Jakovich (retired)
Munro (delisted
Humm (delisted)
Collica (delisted)
Chambers (delisted)
Carroll (delist)

Gaspar will and should be kept, but 2005 would almost certainly have to be his last chance. Wooden might not be a superstar, but at the very least he's a very capable backup and at best he's a good run-with player capable of getting the ball himself. R.Jones is a quality player, a vice-captain, and one ordinary year will not spell the end of his career.

agree with that.

There's no chance of Jones getting delisted this year. He's had one average season in an otherwise good career and doesn't deserve to be delisted. Plus he's a vic-captain and is rated highly around the club by both the players and the staff.

Wooden had an awful run with injuries in the first half of the season, but has come in and played very well. Does his job each week and isn't in danger of getting delisted.

Gaspar hasn't done a lot, but the club has put in too much time and effort and he is too big a talent to not give another year to. Having said that, If he's in the same position next year he'll be in a lot of trouble to keep his place on the list.

Chambers i think will be traded other than delisted and they might look at trying to trade Green as well. (don't know if they would get any bites though)

Carroll will be an interesting one, not sure which way the club will go.

Munro, Humm and Collica will be delisted.

Munro & Humm are probably going to be delisted I reckon.

Green hasn't done himself any favours aswell & It's hard to see Collica sticking around only playing 5 games in 2 seasons?

Wooden should definately NOT be delisted IMO. He has played considerably well over the past few weeks after suffering from a broken collarbone earlier this year. He has played games over the last four weeks in which people have often voted him top 5. Get rid of the others though except for R Jones (one more years worth of chances...) and gaspar (did show excellent promise earlier... still a chance with him yet).

I think Chambers and possibly even Collica could be used to finish off trades either for a versatile tall or a player like stenglien. They would just be like sweetners. I could see a number of clubs being interested in Chambers.

As for De - listings, well I have said previosly that Gaspar deserves one more season too prove he is not a total waste of a how ever much we pay him.
He is very injury probne and if he can't play 15 plus games next year well I'd let him go.

Humm should go at the end of the season, as should Green. With players such as Nicoski, Waters, Butler, Selwood and the return to form of Wirra and Morrison these players are not needed any more. Carrol could go but we might want to keep him just for backline depth.

Yep i agree with most of them except for JOSH WOODEN. This guy is in career best form he is averaging about 15 touches a game over the past 3 or 4 weeks.

Keep him for sure as he is one of our only real 'tagging options'

yeah i agree there, we need him as cover should Glass, Lynch etc fall foul of the injury curse.

Humm, Collica and Munro are definitely gone at seasons end.

Gaspar, Jones and Wooden?... you idiot.

Delist: Collica, Munro, Humm and Green

Collica is defintley gone which after showing a bit in previous seasons is a bit sad but after not playing a game this year I think Woosha's shown that he is not in the clubs future plans. Munro and Humm I havent seen that much of (I live in Melbourne) but it sounds like theyre just average bit players and I dont think that you could get anything trading them. And as for Green I hope that he is delisted because he is the most ******ed player I have ever seen and is an insult to the blue and gold.

I think Trent Carroll is not a bad player to have on your list as said before. He hasnt shown to be the best key defender but I really do think we need more tall defenders and if he is given one more chance he might show somthing and be a handy player to keep.

Gaspar will defintley stay but Im dissapointed he didnt stand up this year as I think he had a great chance before he was struck down by injury. But he looks like he has the ability to hold down a key position in the future and hopefully he can play at centre-half forward rotating with Ash Hansen.

I doubt Chambers will be on the list next season as he will probably be traded and may be delisted to make space for the draft. With players like Sellwood coming through in his position I dont think there is any room for Callum in the first 18.

Some young players like Graham, Beck and Johnson would also be in danger of being traded or delisted. From what I've heard Johnson wants to come back to Melbourne and will probably be traded. Beck isnt bad and may be a long term prospect and might develop next season and I dont know anything about Graham except he was promoted off the rookie list at the start of this year so he will probably stay on and may be given a chance next season.

And I was wondering what you guys thought of Banners and wether he will retire this season. I haven't heard what he's said or anything but after coming back from that knee injury I thought hes given great support to our young midfeild and could maybe play on for another year.

Why have Gaspar ? There's no room, the talls are Gardiner, Cox, Seaby, Johnson and Beeck. Where would you play him? There's no room, he wont be selected ahead of these five. Between Collica, Humm and Munro they will get delisted. Why keep them? There useless. Carroll, Green and Gaspar are'nt reguarlas, they've had there chance this season and in the past. Guys look for the Future. Who on the list wont be part of the Eagles future? Thats how I've compiled this list. Gaspar has had his chance, and when there is Gardiner, Cox, Seaby, Johnson and Beeck ahead of him, were is he goin to play? Is he goin to linger on the list in case of injuries? I doubt it, when his past matches for South Freo have been less than impressive!

Dont know how youre putting Johnson and Beeck ahead of Gaspar

Those guys are both fit and have played what? One senior game each?

that's what we are doing. If Gaspar can get rid of his injuries, he will be a big part of our future. Gaspar should get another year on his talent alone and the fact the club has put in so much time and effort into him. If he's in the same position at the end of next year then he probably will get delisted, but ATM i thing it's in the best interests of the club to keep Gaspar on the list for another year in the hope that he will pull through.

An then what. Gaspar will fail, again. Lets say he fails(110% Chance) Woosha will see that. He's given him all the time in the f***ing tick toc! Times up Travis, Times UP!

Banfield will roll over into 2005. Graham should be promoted off the rookie list - he has been superb for South Fremantle. Beeck is going to be a gun.
Gasper is an excellent player, top CHF, only problem is he is always battling foot problems - 2005 will be his last chance to get it right. I'd also like to see Edwards promoted as he has been doing good things at Swans and is versatile. Johnson will be used as trade bait, I believe.
Munro, Humm, Green and Carrol gone!
Rudeforth isn't required.

if he has another injury riddled season next year then he would be given the chop. However, i think the fact the club has made him go interstate to see specialists about his injuries, have got him to have surgery and then stated that he will be right for pre-season and round 1 next year, tends to hint at the fact that he will be around next year and he is part of their plans.

I dont want to jump the gun or anything but from the looks and sounds of things Beeck will be our solution to our Centre Half Back problem. I think Gaspar will be given one more year. He looked fairly impressive when he came into our side considering he had missed so much football. As far as trade bait goes Paul Johnson and Callum Chambers make good bait. I hear Essendon wants Paul Johnson, so maybe a deal can be done there. And maybe Chambers can be packaged in with a draft pick for Stenglein. As far as delisting goes Humm Munro Collica would be certainties. Green could be a possibility but with the amount of times he has been an emergency you wud think that Worsfold will still keep him in our team. I really cant think of any other people on the list that deserve to be delisted. Graham, Edwards and Beeck(if he hasnt been promoted already) will be promoted off the rookie list. We should get Stenglein and should use our first draft pick to get a defender(CHB) after getting Morton under father/son rule.

I must say though, this has been the first year in a while that i have struggled to find people worth delisting which is a good sign for the future.

Jakovich has retired
Munro, Collica and Humm are definitely gone.
B Jones will definitely be promoted.

Depending on how trade week goes:
Graham, a young CHB, might be promoted
Chambers, Green and Carroll might be traded/delisted

Anything other than this would be a suprise. Rudeforth may be great on the training track etc but I can't see him fitting into a team so full of midfield talent.

Biggest load of crap I've seen all week. Collica, Humm and Munro are likely, Green is a maybe, Carroll is a long shot, but Gaspar, Wooden and R. Jones are far from expendable.
