Looking beyond the cost in draft picks, another thing to consider is becoming a destination club for good, young indigenous players. You'd reckon a few of them and their families would be looking at Geelong (and the recent outflow of indigenous boys from there) and thinking twice. Whereas we've got a good core, have shown to be compassionate (if we get this done) and have good mentors like Lewis at the club.

Can someone gimme a quick summary of the past ~25 pages?

Or is it just summed up in the thread title :shoutyoldman:
Geelong won't deal because it will make the premiers better, have many appendages to consume.

Who else have they lost other than Christensen?

Cockatoo, Parfitt, Narkle, Jones all seem relatively happy there. I don't think this is an indigenous issue at all.

So why no angst over Shiel and Beams nominating clubs? This Kelly stuff is beyond extreme. Is it 'cos he's a rookie?!
It’s practically 100% because of the way his manager worded his statements. His manager has tainted the whole situation. But Geelong’s list managers have acted worse
