Like I said you are struggling and it shows you are wrong and cannot admit it so throw out a link like it makes you right. A quick search of that webpage will quickly show you that it does not say anywhere that a welcome to country must be conducted by an elder.
Welcome to Country is delivered by Traditional Owners. True, it isn’t always an Elder, but for events like the Grand Final, it is.

It is not a lie. To say so, is racist.

I don’t get it. Why don’t all the people who don’t want to be welcomed to Australia simply go back where they’re originally from? It’s not the 1800s anymore, you can go live wherever you want.

Sadly, there are people who don’t believe that Aboriginal history and culture should be acknowledged and celebrated.

Welcome to Country is a wonderful protocol for acknowledging traditional owners and being welcoming to all.

It is supposed to unite, not divide.

Anyway, I won’t bother anymore. Nothing will ever change.

I resent the fact that anyone who disagrees with what is currently fashionable is forbidden to say so. We are not allowed to think welcome to country is virtue signalling
You're not forbidden to say or think it's virtue signalling. For decades those advocating for the current "woke" causes were told to shut up and that their ideas were rubbish or immoral. Just say so if you believe it. People will disagree with you, just as people disagreed with those pushing for things like welcome or acknowledgement to country for many years before they became standard accepted practice.

I'd argue 2am is at night - and never in the morning.
Well with all due respect argumentative kind sir, let me prove you wrong.

Witness the following conversation.

Dave: Hey John I'm going fishing tomorrow. Do you want to join me.
John: Sounds good. What time.
Dave: I'm thinking about hitting the road at about 2 o'clock.
John: 2 in the morning or 2 in the afternoon.
Dave: 2 in the morning.

Now who would have asked "2 in the night" in this situation.
Answer: No one.

You're wrong.

Respect Otto for continuing to post with your head injury

Here's something you won't hear from those pissed Fishermen of yours.

I got home at 2am. I slept in because I had an early morning. What would they say instead?
Nothing. They referred to it as the "morning".
You're agreeing with me.

On a side note. Sorry Anzacday for creating more stuff for you to have to move to the derailed thread.
All Sav had to do was admit he was wrong and as usual I was right but his ego is getting in the way.
You know how he is.

That's not fair. Your fisherman are obviously too ****ing pissed to be making sense to anyone but you.

All good, I nearly deleted it all as mindless crap, then I saw the WalterBlaknWhte post and that made me laugh 😂

Until recently I hadn’t realised he’s like many others who just love an argument.
You’re right btw, but you already know that.
