I mean, after academy picks and father sons, it probably will be around pick 35 you'd have to think
I think at that point there's such divergence in the recruiter's opinions on players we're almost certain that the player we wanted at pick 35 will be available five picks later at pick 40.

Could have sworn there was some claptrap article from Jon Ralph a couple of months ago that he was about to sign a new contract with the Lions, that no one besides one-eyed Brisbane supporters could see any sanity in.

Should be a no-brainer move to the Eagles this offseason, for both player and club.

Because for most of the year he hasnt been getting games!

He's only getting games due to injuries late in the season. At the Eagles he'd be playing in his prefered position as an inside mid every week.
Dev has got his fair share of games this season.

In the starting 22 > Rounds 1, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23.

Activated sub > Rounds 2, 4, 18, 21.

I would love to keep him, he is a great 2 way runner and busts a gut every week, maybe if he plays in a flag this season it could sway him to stay and look for another one over the next couple of years rather than go through a rebuild for a 2-3 years.

Could just end up being one of those losses strong sides have when they are stacked in one area.

I am sure he isn't silly and knows Levi Ashcroft is also waiting in the wings.

The lure of a flag could certainly keep him there, although he should be aiming for a long career at the Eagles if he does choose to move.

Yep it happens, I am a huge fan of Dev and think he is in our best side even with everyone available, fantastic role player which every side that wins a flag has a few of.

Even with top 5 prospect Levi Ashcroft coming in the 2024 draft there should be opportunities opening up for Dev to lock down a regular starting spot, Jarryd Lyons is 32 next season, Lachie Neale 31 next season + Dayne Zorko 35 next season is likely to retire IMO.

Rig adds trade value. Definitely worth at least pick 32. Will need the eagles to STUMP UP for the instagram audience he'll bring.

We discussed whether Dev's strip tease performance increases trade value. Lol.

Offering him 4 years helps more.

If Ports 2nd and our 3rd look like being close to pick 40 they come into play as they likely end up over pick 40 and we have interest in nga bids.

Feeling is not many over 50 will be picked this draft either. List spots at a premium at several clubs. Especially those with 'specials access to nga's academy kids.

Realistically you should just try walk him through the pre-season draft. We'd probably prefer a future third for points purposes to match 2024 bids if you really want to be nice (younger ashcroft, and a few academy players are potentially draftable).

What is the vibe on value from eagles, lions and neutrals?

As an eagles fan, I’d say ports second rounder, pick 35ish, seems about right.
Future 2nd with a Future 3rd coming back seems about right if the Lions want points for next year. Pick 35 also seems right, though it's not the deepest draft.
He seems a good prospect, one the Lions would not really want to part with, but losing young fringe 22 players is the price you pay for being good.

Definitely a pick after 30, possibly after 40 depending on how difficult WC want to be. He’s a nice player but his best spot (bottom of the pack hard big body) is one you can fill pretty cheaply with no shortage of slower but strong accumulators going around.

I’ll be interested to see who goes for more, him or Henry.

I would've thought Henry is worth more than Robertson is.
