Didaka was a popular poster who died about 15 years ago now (I think) so someone came up with the great idea to name the award after him.

When he was ill he posted about his struggles and how much he loved the Pies. He seemed like a great guy.

Wow. Well that’s a coincidence. Myself and a few mates used to run a website alandidak.com and we held an annual Didak Medal award where we would give a 3-2-1 vote on the match. He would show up every year for the presentation. It was 2002-2005. I saw the name of this forum and thought it may have spawned from that. Old Didaka may well have been an attendee at a few old vote counts.
