Not at all, we were soundly beaten by a superior side on the day. 26 spent the entire day trying to run through blokes, elbows raised and spent the day wrestling. There is no way even BT would condone his behaviour on Saturday. I'm all for tough footy, but collecting blokes with a raised elbow when they are not looking is not tough, it's criminal and needs be stamped out of the game.

4/5 for Johnny not a bad start.
Only missed the Parade game. Scoring shots in that game was 1 in Parades favour so probably a lot closer than the 39 point loss suggests.

Was fortunate to get out there for the first bounce and it looked like boys against men, even though Prahran looked the older side! BT were extremely dominant all day and like I said in a previous post, Prahran got a rude awakening. But will be interseting to see next weeks results to see if BT are that good or Prahran are that bad.

My point of the BT boys being arrogant has been justified completely on this forum since there 90 odd point win over the weekend.

Yes, it was a good win, but my goodness, havent we all heard about it?

I thought it was round one last week? Not the granny!

BT very humble in victory! NOT!

Currently 2/5 in a very unpredictable first round of footy, with blow outs left, right and centre!

This week:
- PA v St Leos - will bounce back after letting WhoAmI? down terribly last week: 43 pts
- Turtles v Gryphons - very hard to predict as both sides had impressive wins but arguably against average opposition. Flip of the coin; 2 pts
- St Marys v BT - refuse to ever tip BT as I dislike the way they operate. Get up for this oine St Mary's boys and put them back in their box. 12 pts
- Old Paradians v Therry - giving the boys from the north one more chance. Flat round one, but hopefully building for something of substance.
- South Melb v La Trobe - La trobe appear to be putrid, SM at home surely

Good Luck to most sides this week...

May float down to either the PA or Eltham game this weekend....Want to see guys like Pell, Parsons from PA, and blokes like Tapscott and Madden for the gryphons...

While I certainly don't agree with all of WhoamI's slanders, BT have handled themselves appallingly this week.

They were the underdogs going into not just the game but the entire season, so to pinch a win of the highly touted PA is a large achievement and should be applauded.

Unfortunately, the feat has been lost in a sea of hatred from all, near and afar, owing to the manner of which they handled themselves in after the victory.

Words of advice BT, great achievement, but keep the gloating between yourselves. It's round 1.

Granted we were confident coming into the season, there isn't a soul that would say it wasn't justified. We had just come off arguably the most dominant season the divisions have ever seen in VAFA history and were merely backing ourselves in to continue our form.

Thought I'd remind you of this modest post.

Top4: Just to clarify things. The three times PA played Monash last year they had come off tough games against Yarra and/or they had injuries. Both Parsons and mussaster were out in the close one at monash's home deck, but please, dont put the two in the same bracket...

I do think that Monash has what it takes at times to mix it with the best, but due to their stumpy, slow midfield, they cannot sustain it through and entire season.

PA boys to go through undefeated. Been smashing the gym all summer, running day and night, whereas I bet the monash boys spent most of their preseason at the local sinking pots!

I must be misssing something or a couple of pages as im struggling to find anything (on this forum at least) where BT are gloating....im all for getting into a team but only if they are deserving.

Whoami? Please do fill us in as to how they are being cocky and arrogant as there is nothing we like better on here than ganging up on the weak!!

My Boys down at Penola land are cruising along nicely and if anyone has the right to be cocky it would us but the boys are too well coached and hopefully wont get ahead of themselves. Should be 2 - 0 after this weekend!

For me it is BT vs La Trobe as the most one sided match.

But for one where the expected losing side is worth a bet I'd go PA vs La Trobe due to PA likely going into the game cocky.

I'd hope you weren't referring to St Mary's win over us as a fluke ? Having to chase them around all day i can assure you it wasn't. It's true that their depth isn't that great, but their first 22 were much better than we anticipated. We weren't cocky, we thought we were better than that, and they showed us a thing or two.

I cannot wait until Sunday morning, checking the results, seeing St Mary's and BT at the wrong end of 100 point belting's and order being restored in Division 2.
