Interesting round of matche sthis week as the jockeying for a favourable finals position intensifies.

UHS-VU vs St Francis Xavier
South Mornington vs Old Westbourne
Elsternwick vs Aquinas
Richmond vs La Trobe Uni
Albert Park vs Power House
Kew vs Swinburne Uni

All the home teams - interesting !

Any truth to the rumor that Aquinas rufused to play on the park made for puppy school y day? & thats the reason it got swapped to sportscover. I thought Elsternwick always wanted to play on sports cover when it was free for them;)

Thats correct, centre of ground was like concrete,Elsternwick weren't too happy,so we got to play on beautiful Sportscover. It was blowing a gale towards the scoreboard,Aquinas 22 pts up at 3/4 time cut to 4 pts half way through the last.An Aquinas player got knocked out causing play to stop, allowing the bloods to regroup and with the rain arriving on Q the bloods held on for a great victory, our 2nd over Elsternwick this year. Now we need to start beating the lower sides to lock in a spot in the finals.

Marcou, Elsternwick were more than happy to play out at Sportcover, what they were unhappy with the was the attitude of a certain club offical.

Well done to you guys, clogged it up really well in the last 10 minutes to get the result!

Didn't know that Ratana, won't comment on that one.

To be honest the situation at the Elsternwick and Aquinas game the machine that was used for the surface in the centre of the ground before the Reserve game should of been used a good hour or so before the game started, than the reserve match would of run on time and not running late and as for the certain club Official who knows what was said but the bottom line is its the safety of both players on both sided and its every right than having players breaking legs left right centre special if the ground is hard as a rock.

Massive slate of games this round that will have huge implications on the paces in the final six.

Aquinas vs Albert Park
La Trobe Uni vs Old Westbourne
Power House vs UHS-VU
St Francis Xavier vs Elsternwick
Swinburne Uni vs South Mornington
Kew vs Richmond Central

Will be an interesting fight for that 6th spot with Aquinas and Latrobe and possibly Albert park all relatively close on points. What's everyone's top 6?

With the top 4 pretty much set in stone the race for the last two spots is very intriguing. Aquinas shouldn't loose either of their last two with richmond looking the favourites to join them with superior percentage. La Trobe a chance considering SFX may rest a couple in the last game having secured 4th.

My top 6

Kew
UHS
Elsternwick
SFX
Aquinas
Richmond

Richmond (or Aquinas) could sneak into the 4 with a win over PH and an SFX loss to a desperate La Trobe. It's not totally out of the question.

So.. no one knows who they'll be playing in the first round of the finals. Good even competition.
