Also in about the third quarter in the far wing (away from the club rooms) there was a really close collision between two of the Swinburne players....traveling full speed, could've been really nasty

Breaking news from south mornington p.johns delisted currently in negotians with Swinburne n Richmond central. IMHO he is one of the greats at south. Was dogged by injury all year, but can kick up to 15 goals a game when he is on song. Great nakker as well.

I'm not sure who the player was... Basically he was charging out of the f50 as Swinburnes #10 was paddling the ball the other way trying to pick it up, the SM player hit him high at full pace. I honestly thought there would be a serious neck / head injury after hearing the smack, but thankfully he was able to get up and came on again later in the qtr... I know that penalties are always softer in local comps, and we don't have slo-mo, but if it was head high, which it did look like, the SM player deserved a few weeks IMO. Could've been much worse.

Tribunal Results – 18 September, 2012
*Greg Pullen, South Mornington. Forceful front-on contact, 2 matches.
*Accepted Prescribed Penalty

Does anyone have any information on the new club 'Northern Blues'? I am assuming that they will be pretty young and fit, which should make them pretty competitive.

When are most teams starting training again, and who is looking like contending in 2013 (I know it is early but we all have opinions)?
