Do the Swans now have the best forward line in the comp?

You'll be disappointed if you expect him to be a consistent 25 game player in "the best forward line in the AFL" if you're basing it off, as you said, 10 minutes of football as a depth player :D

Barely got a game in 2012 and your own players said they didn't trust him halfway through the season, yet you think he'll be part of "the best forward line in the AFL"
Morton could do nothing in the rest of his career at the Swans, but he kicked two goals in a 10 point grand final win. There may well be lolling, good sir, but it should be by Morton, not at him.

Ah but that is not within the context of the question posed by the OP, otherwise I would have agreed ;)

I don't expect him to be a consistent 25 game player. I expect him to be a mercurial type that can stand up in big games and do things other players can't.

Nick Davis 2012 model, who rounded out our forward line the last time it was the best in the league.

The OP is a moron whose sole posting history is putting up threads asking if the Swans are the best at whatever parameter he can think of that day. He's the North board in a single Sydney fan's clothing.

How many other ex-Richmond players, or current ones, are playing in the AFL that own a Premiership medal? Just asking.

That he is ;)

OP seems to think otherwise

Man you are just mean. :p

Hello, I'm Mitch Morton.
My choice: stay with the delusional 30 year youth policy of Richmond and be happy with a perennial 9th place
OR
join the Swans, appreciate a truly professional group, improve my fitness base, kick some crucial goals in the season (including finals, grand final) and become a premiership player.

You should apologise.

(desperately seeks way to argue my team has the best forward line...... yeah not happening).

Hawthorn and West Coast I would think.

And Franklin shits on Tippett from a monumental height as far as forwards go.

Still, Sydney would have one of the best four or five forward lines in the league I would think.

Of those 6 you listed: 1 has had a 50+ goal season, 3 have had 40+ goal seasons, 2 have had 30+ goal seasons

Having just lost a 60+ goal season forward we now have:

1 x 60+ goal season small/medium forward (LeCras)
2 x 50+ goal season key forwards (Darling, Kennedy)
1 x 40+ goal season medium forward (Nicoski)
1 x 30+ goal season small/medium forward (Hill)

+ a ruck duo that combined for 52 goals in 2012
+ two small forwards who are currently outside the 22 that are good for at least a goal a game on average (Hams, Dick)
+ midfielders who are capable of going forward and kicking goals (Embley, Shuey, Masten)
+ mighty Patrick McGinnity, the white Cyril Rioli:)

Us > you. I think that's how it works...

You're shooting at an imaginary target ;)

Is Mitch capable of playing 25 games in 2014 in a forward line superior to every other in the AFL? No.

Ten minutes of good footy in a depth role is laughable evidence in support of the above assertion implied by the OP.

Meanwhile, for some reason, you're assessing the fortune of Mitch's 'choice' (I'll ignore the fact he was delisted and didn't have a choice) and citing a couple of goals as evidence to, for some reason, require an apology.

Swans had a top 2 midfield and best defense this year.. Which imo won them the flag. They rely on mids to help kick goals too ala Geelong 07-09.

Forward line was always a weakness and adding Tippett does not make them the best, but adds another forward marking target and might release Goodes to more utility roles which can only help them.

Dude, I hope you're happy only living 11 months of the year; Mitch Morton owns September and he might not let you in.
