He’s clearly not a bad coach. But agree, I jumped off early this year after our start. Every year we start like a bunch of strangers who just met, weird structures and we always end up the same place by the bye with the team we prob should have started round 1.
Stale is exactly what we are.
I think they look like a bunch of strangers right now and it's half way thorough the season

He's a great coach. U don't win a flag and make a granny if u r not. But time doesn't stop for anyone, and the message is falling on deaf ears now it's time to move on and bring in new ideas and for bevo to move elsewhere. Win win for everyone

I’d still rather back people more qualified than 5% of our membership to make any decision.
If our board and president can't see what we can see, you move him on, if an AGM needs to be called to get that point across, so be it.
Sick of this club and it's member always accepting mediocrity for stability sake.

Need 5% of our current paid up members to sign a petition to call an AGM.
Who's taking signatures?
I’m not good at that and don’t have the time as I run my own business but I’m happy to be right up there in leading this partition just like the one we were gonna start to get rid of Rhode and I was there standing in front of the club and protesting with three others, when the cameras interviewed us when change was needed in the days before McCartney walked out.

What you've just described is the definition of a bad coach.

You might find that 5% required for an EGM
AGM's are scheduled long in advance.

Just saying.
As our constitution says:

''15.1 b Members may request a meeting of Members on a resolution in writing signed by 5% of Members eligible to vote identified by their name, addresses and their membership number, being delivered to the Chief Executive Officer, who shall within 21 days from receiving such requisition call an extraordinary general meeting of the Members of the Club by giving 21 days notice of the same by advertisement in the daily press. The requisition must state precisely the objects of such meeting and such objects shall appear in the advertisement in the same or a more abbreviated form. No business other than as stated in the requisition and advertisement shall be conducted at the extraordinary general meeting.''

Need about 2500 signatures at this point.

I’m sick of the “he won us the flag” bs. that was 7 years ago. Yeah we scraped into the granny in 21 but beside that we haven’t done much, we have wasted prime years of prime talented players because of a stubborn coach who plays players out of position, players getting opportunities when they shouldn’t, and players missing not getting picked despite playing well in the 2’s. Don’t even get me started on the same game plan with no plan B for the last 7 years, its just the same old story, we need change, and fast.

This is not a troll because you are still a good chance to play finals even if you drop out of the eight this week and he would be considered a successful coach if he walked tomorrow

You have a highly talented list. Thought your list looked even better than Collingwoods on paper last week but McCrae has those guys so well organized

Where do you think you guys should be on the ladder with your list and do you think he should have snagged another premiership in the years since 2016.

He would be of interest to Gold Coast even though media selling that Hardwick will be obvious choice. Wouldn't be suprised if West Coast put the feelers out also. They need to find the money to move Simpson on.

JUH, Naughton, English, Darcy, Weightman.

We'd have

That's what I said. AGM and EGM are not the same thing.

God I hope you people don't go down the EGM route. That is a club in crisis and we are not anywhere near that.

Been a dog for 50 plus years and believe me we are not in crisis EGM mode.

Just an idea. I don't have the time or money to even bother with it but have seen it mentioned on (other) dogs forums tonight.

I'd sign, sick of mediocrity, sick of Bevo, sick of this game plan. It's ****ing sad I look forward to watching Collingwood games more than I do our own at the moment.

The problem with this thread is that everyone here thinks we are some kind of superpower team because we have Bont but look at the bottom 10 players tonight and we are far from it.

McNeill Scott Garcia Williams Gardner Vandermeer, Duyrea - foot soldiers, JUH - still developing, Darcy - 2-3 years away from AFL level, O'donnell - just a pup.

...but of course all the recruiting etc is the coaches fault too yadayadayada.

Not the time for members uprising. Time for Baines to make significant changes in football depth.

Can't see it myself.

It's an overrated list as shallow as a spit on a hot footpath. Our form fell off the cliff soon after a 32 year old fullback returning from a long stint out the game broke his arm. That should tell you all you need to know about our list.
Where do you think you guys should be on the ladder with your list and do you think he should have snagged another premiership in the years since 2016.

We're 8-11. level Canon fodder.

I think Hardwick to Gold Coast was a fait accompli the minute that Hardwick announced that he still wanted to coach. Which was about a minute after he said he didn't want to coach Richmond any more.

We have the same issue as West Coast. Beveridge signed a two year extension at the end of last year. A club as fiscally conservative as ours will not reach into its cash reserves and pay Beveridge out. Beveridge would need to walk or there'd need to be a bloodbath of sacked coaches at the end of the season for another side to take him on. He's currently driving our bus at his speed towards a bend in the road. I have no idea if he or the club are capable of taking the corner or whether we'll just careen over the edge and into the abyss. But we're about to find out.

We should have had a bloody dynasty like your lot did with the players we had.

I think we should be last so someone at the top will finally stop and smell the dung and do something about it.

I'll be forever grateful to bevo for 2016, but just like the players he's moved on over the years, someone needs to step up and tell him the same thing.

It's already too late now and when Libba finishes we are screwed. That bloke should have more than 1 premiership cup.

I think that is the point some are highlighting…I get we’ve been tied up in some drafts but we’ve had how many years to get the right players in? Instead we hold onto our very late first rounder like it’s the child of Christ and refuse to give up any good picks for good players, hoping we can swindle other sides and get all the players we need for third rounders.

The club should have the balls to act now, but we're run by a woman who worked at Disney, a former champion yes man as football director and assistant coaches that would struggle to get a coaching job at the local footy club

Think you’re being pretty disrespectful toward Kylie. She is regional head of a hugely successful company. Sad as it is, Women are still the minority in senior leadership roles and getting to where she has takes strength, intelligence and grit. But I think the time for her to put that strength to use is now.

Not sure what everyone’s on about. We’re perfectly positioned to sneak into the 8, win 3 finals and then sign him for another 4 years.

Seriously though, the time has come. He’s clearly a good coach and will be snapped up elsewhere, but his time with the Bulldogs has run its course.
