Do you think one day the old Collingwood culture will come back and realise that Eddies mouth is making the club look foolish?

Don't give me this crap about him bringing the club back from oblivion either because while Eddie yabbered on about having Australias biggest sponsors, best guernsey in the game, 41,000 members i think the poor players thought it would all just happen for them today. Now the club is probably back where they were for a number of years...laughing stock.

Brisbane played everyone for fools they just kept quiet all week we all had Collingwood down for favorites.

Its hard to see that player list being a serious contender without some major rebuilding, which would imply falling down the ladder.
By that time Buckley wont be there, and MM will be lucky to survive without a flag within the next 3 years.

Eddie wont be removed. He will always use his media influence against any rivals for the presidency. He will be very very hard to shift.

The Collingwood fans after the intial love affair with a celeb for a prez will realise that all Eddie has done was turn Collingwood into a corporation.

As soon as this happens there will be blood down at Vic Park.

It takes Collingwood a long time for anything to register in their thick heads and after 2 years i THINK now they will get it.

Eddie should return to doing what he does best and that is being a journo. I actually liked him before he became the prez of the most pathetic team in the country.

But he's not going anywhere. He, like 100% of his sheep, prefer off-field success to onfield success.

If he was guranteed a Collingwood flag on the condition that he leaves the club, he still wouldn't budge.

The Collingwood way was never just pump money in and fix it because the battlers never had it. It was through hard work that Collingwood won so many premierships in the past. These days Eddie manipulates everything else to fall their way beautifully but those 3 hours out there today (which should have been the most important over the season) he had no control over. I don't think it will be too long before he starts offering large sums of money to all involved in the grand final.

The point is that the Pies are probably more hated than ever and all due to that one man. If faith healing works then people mind power was rooting against Eddie today in a real big way.

The work of a crook really as he has them brainwashed that its good to be hated and that they are the envy. As far as i know you don't need an invitation to barrack for Collingwood even though the cheersquad carry on that way. If you've got a hundred or so in ya pocket you've got the choice to sign up with any 15 of the 16 teams assuming Adelaide still have that waiting list to get in.

Just a few seasons ago Collingwood was rock bottom. we were ****ter than carlton of today I think.

I think a few decisions by Eddie has changed things, however you do have a point.

Sydney is stronger than Port. Collingwood is stronger than Port (hence last week). Brisbane is just another level.

They smashed Sydney last week, and then stepped up another gear today. Mathews played possum with the footballing world, on todays performance Brisbane looked a lot better than I first expected.

Leon Davis is not premiership player material, he can't turn a game, and he's not the only one. You're right, Collingwood does need a bit of a clean out, and looking at today I feel we're lucky we got so far with the players we have. But they're not the standard of Brisbane, no one is.

1) We need a big, heaver ruckman. Brisbane has three!
2) When Rocca falls over, the whole forward line structure seems to. It effects how the midfield delivers and we need to adapt. We had no structure up forward like Brisbane today, they were a powerhouse.
3. We need good carriers of the ball, who can turn a game on end, like Brisbane, like Black, and Ackermanis.
